About that dead guy out there

If you have not read my previous discussion: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1269296.aspx this will not make any sense. The following spring, at a work day for my job, a day with no students, I was eating lunch with two of my friends. One of them said to the other: "I have just heard the funniest story. My cousin is dating a guy from the sheriff's department, and they had a call awhile back. They went on a run to check on someone reporting a dead guy, and it turned out to be a coyote. I am not sure he is telling the truth exactly, but he says the dispatcher heard it, and they have a tape of it, it was so funny." You can imagine the look on my face and then on hers when I told her I knew all about it, it was my back yard! Have you ever had someone tell you a funny story they happened to hear, and it turned out to be about you?

In a round about way it was actually about something that happened between my husband and a dispatcher and a whole bunch of police, fire rescue, and emt people. It happened in my yard, in the middle of the night.

Yes indeed! I called 911 because I heard someone in my house early one morning. It turned out to be my mother! She had her boyfriend drop her off before he went to work so she could do some laundry! People said that they heard the police laughing about it and they too found it funny. When I told them it was me, they really laughed and of course wanted to know more.
