Hellmann's is on Sale!

Hellmann's Mayonaiise - Bring out the Hellmann's
and Bring out the Best!

Hellmann's mayonaiise is on sale at Price Chopper! I guess it doesn't take much to get me excited! But, when it is nearly a dollar less than the regular price I jump for joy. There is no other mayonaiise that I like or will buy. Hubby will buy store brands and I complain when he does. But, even a sale such as this will not get me to the store unless I have other things to buy. With the price of gas so high, it is wise to go when you need more than one item. What product gets you excited when it goes on sale?

I have been to the store too many times this weekend, and I find myself wanting to go again, because cantaloupe are on sale, and they are delicious. I would try to stock up on Hellman's in your shoes, and keep two or three extra in the cupboard. Some things you do not want to skimp on. I cannot stock up on the cantaloupe that way, they just do not keep as well.

I will go back a few times when they put a limit on how many you can get. We use a lot of mayo throughout the year. I would like to get 10 if I can get them.

When something is on sale for a great bargain, I purchase more than I need and store it away for later use.

When it is something that you use regularly and it goes on sale it is good for the pocket book.

I either buy Miracle Whip or make my own fresh mayonaisse. I don't care for the store bought mayo. Now speaking of savings. The wife and I wernt to the grocery store this afternoon. With the stores sale items, their coupons, and the manufacturers coupons we used today we saved 53 percent off our total bill. We do the coupon shopping all the time. It's amazing how much you can save using both store sales, store coupons, and naufactureres coupons together when you shop. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM FRUGAL GRANDPA BOB !!~

My daughter is a fanatic about using coupons. I only use them on the items that I normally buy.

Hi Grandpa Bob, and Mom! Stock up on the Hellmans...bring out the Hellmans, and bring out the best! My mother is absolutely right, Grandpa Bob - I am a coupon fanatic! I do the same kind of stuff you do...figure out what I can get for free or really cheap, and I use the coupons to get me more stuff than I could possibly want in one trip. I stock up on items that I will probably never use. The good thing is that I'm going to sell a lot of this stuff on ebay. I have deodorant, air fresheners, cleaners, health and beauty items, and so much more, and I got all of this stuff free or paid next to nothing for it! I love coupons! I want to write a guide on coupon shopping for mylot (and then for gather - the other site I am an active member of). TAKE CARE!

You really don't hold back, do you, Elusive? Personally, I can't stand the taste of real mayonnaise(been eating Miracle Whip all my life). My mother did prefer Hellmann's though. I really don't shop enough to get excited about anything when it goes on sale. I've noticed that I usually want the most expensive items in the store. With the prices of food these days, grocery shopping is sort of like playing the stock market.(:

I often feel as if I need to take out a loan to buy your groceries.

I really like it when chicken goes on sale, which usually isn't often. When it does, I'll buy it and just put it in the freezer. Also, when I go food shopping I like to see how much I can save by using coupons.

I don't really know of an item that I get excited about that goes on sale. Maybe doritos cause I like them and don't really buy them unless they are on sale. I don't eat mayo (unless it's mixed in with something, I can't stand to eat it on a sandwich or anything) so I usually buy dukes or hellman's for my husband to eat. He will eat whatever I buy, he doesn't really have a preference.

Cereal ~ Coke ~ Tide Laundry soap with Febreze--- I love these sales- They are things I buy each week- and love it when they are on sale- A good sale- I always get Mayo when Hellman’s runs a sale too- I love it- I won’t buy the generics either- and it's even better when I have a coupon to go along with it!

I like it when cheese comes on sale, especially Krafts's or Armstrong Cheese, but not the store brand which is very bland even the old kind. Gas prices are high here as well, but we do not live near the store, so we have to go once a week and now with retirement, we are going to Superstore, rather than Safeway's. We went to Saskatoon and the gas prices were higher then. We are going to Prince Edward Island and I do not know how high the prices are there and coming back through the States.

Whenever milk goes on sale, I'll go and buy 2 or 3 gallons, and then go back and buy more when I use them up. There's one store around here that has good sales on milk every so often.

Im with you on that one Elusive! lol My hubby hates mayo, of any kind. But once I tasted Hellmanns I coudlnt go back to the Miracle Whip that I grew up on. My mom didnt buy real mayo, she bought salad dressing, which makes me think, does anyone really put that awful stuff on a salad?? lol Ok I guess Chicken "salad" or Tuna "salad" then there is Macaroni "salad" but a lettuce salad sounds terrible. lol I think our Kroger store has it on sale this week. But I bought it on sale last time and had to buy two, I got them both for $5.00 then I had a coupon for 50cents off. I guess I bought them 2 or 3 months ago and just opened the second one the other day. I get excited when just about ANYTHING is on sale honey! My husband just rolls his eyes at me and says lovingly, "whatever makes you happy honey" I get excited about Toilette paper, Pepsi, meat! Im like you, I dont like going for just one thing. xx

Thanks for that..I haven't looked at the fliers yet for this week. I'm always on the look out for bottled water, and find it goes on sale a lot. I like to have it to bring to work with me.

LOL Nope, it does not take much to excite you. LOL We have been using ALDI brand mayonaise and salad dressing. WE have adapted quite well and it is so much cheaper.

Hi ElusiveButterfly, I love to see anything that we use on a regular basis, on sale. However, I'm thrilled to see Kellogg's Nutri-Grain bars (which my daughter loves), some of our favourite cereals, like, Oatmeal Crisp, and Harvest Crunch, and name brand toilet tissue, such as Cashmere Cottonelle, to name a few. I can't resist a great coupon either, and right now I have one for $3.00 off a case of 12 Nestea ice tea, or Fruitopia. Now that's a real sale. Take Care.

Hellmann's is the best..When I was growing up it was Miracle Whip, but I have come to like Hellmann's.. I don't have a price chopper here though..I can't even really tell you how much it is a jar here...LOL..Italian bread, when I can get it for 5 loaves for 5 bucks...with seeds or without, doesn't matter..In one store it is 2.49 but just 4 miles away where I do all my shopping anyway at Walmart, it is 1.68 for a loaf...81 cents savings on a loaf adds up after a while. I think it is a good savings..

I was a little bummed today when I finally got to the store. I could only buy 3 jars! Limits are not right. I will be heading back tomorrow for 3 more jars.
