I have a book on Sects and False Religions and there is enough on Tv about Buddhism, New Age, Shintoism, Muslim, and Judiasm. So I have read about these various and sundry beliefs. But I am a Christian and believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and HE is the only way to our salvation. Therefore even though I have read articles on how a certain sect or philosophy regards life, I have not adopted any of their philosophies. It just gives me an understanding as to how they act or why they act, but does not compel me to believe what they do. If that were true, someone could say the sky is purple and if you cut off your right arm another will grow in its place (If he said it long enough and used a holographic image of it happening), then people would believe it. Another way of saying it is "If someone asked you to jump in the lake or if everyone else told you to jump in the lake, would you do it?" I rather think that some of their philosophies are justifications for their behavior. S

I was an atheist but shifted to Christianity because I found atheistic answers to the existential dillemma quite unsatisfactory. I had examined Hinduism , Buddhism and Jainism also...in fact they were part of my academic curriculum. One thing I have never seriously look at is Islam. I don't pick and choose philosophical element from one system to imbibe it to other system because if I do that the other would get distorted. It would be like Bahaism which says that it is the synthesis of different religions, and therefore it is the best because it has taken only the best. But that is to form a new religion. I would prefer to go for one that has been tested by time and history.

I'm a Catholic, but I am also wiccan. I like wiccan because it is about the earth, and the universe. It's about harming none.Doing onto otheres as you would want done to you. The Catolic church are strick, and are hypicrits. They say one thing and do another. There are so many rules to follow. I could go on and on about this subject.

the religion i belive in and the books i read have cavered many religions -- and we believe that all the leaders of the religions were on the right path but after they left the world people changed what they were taught,so in one way we believe in all religions and in the other way we dont believe any religion except what we are on. even muslims do not follow the religion what prophit mohammad peace be upon him taught,so we are against them also, its a long story -- but that doesnt mean we fight people for that,we dont interfere anyones belief.we know what we are on.i follow humanity.i follow islaam.
