I on occasion watch a TV Show Called Bizarre Foods. Now I have seen Andrew Zimmern eat some really weird food, but tonite this one will take the cake. This guy is in Ecuador, and one of the most popular food is a poor little Guinnie Pigs!! It is like picking a Lobster. You pick your "ALIVE" one, and they cook it for you. that is just so sad. Andrew said it tastes like pork. He is also eating the stomach, and intestines of something else. He gave a detailed description of the food, and really enjoyed it. (sorry the phone rang & I didn't catch what it was though). Next up is: Pig cracklings. He really liked these. I didn't even know they had many fruits and veggies in Ecuador. They even have a vitamin drink that cleans out your system, and Andrew says it tastes really nasty. Up next A Ritual Cleansing. I finally get to see Andrew in his boxers lol. Ok Ok even though he likes bizarre food, I still think he is cute. Anyway Andrew will get his body cleaned of evil spirits, and spiritral healing. I can't even begin to tell you what he went through here, but it was not pleasant. Next they are going to the amazon rain forest to get a bite to eat. On a small Island of Coco he travels. They will visit the jungle and hike for miles. There are many crazy bugs and frogs. Can you belive people eat Lemon ants (Raw) off the tree branch? They then proceed onto eating parrona fish ( don't think I spelled that right). They catch their own fish, and wrap them in Bannana leaves. They then cook them. Meantime it starts to pour, but they still cook the fish. Andrew said there is not much meat on the fish, but it is really tasty, and it is bony. You won't belive what he is going to eat next... Worms! (I've got chills now). And beetles with larva. EEWWWH. I could of puked. Eating grubs yuck. I don't even care that it has a lot of protien. Wash the grubs and put on the fire to cook. Nice and crispy. No de- skininng or anything. Uggg. I don't know how Andrew eats all the things he does. I relize every culture has their way of cooking, but to eat bugs and such. I don't think I could do that, I guess I'm glad to be here in the US. Maybe I'm spoiled with simple foods. I wonder what Andrew eats when he is not on the road. I also wonder if he really likes eating all this food , or if it is just a good paying job for him, because he really eats a lot of strange things. He is cute though and has a great smile and personalilty.

All I can say is .... Yuk! I always remember one "delicacy"that comes from France, and some expensive French restaurants here in America have it too---can't remember the name of the exact bird, but it's as small as a sparrow...They serve this bird whole to you...and the idea is to eat the whole thing..head, eyes, beak and all even the feathers..they don't pluck them off ....So as not to gross other people out while eating it, the idea is to cover ones head with a large linen napkin while eating it--has Andrew ever eaten this??? LOL
