Who's the computer hog in your house?

So, who is the computer hog in your household? Do your children demand time on your computer to play their games and surf the Internet? Who spends the most time on your computer daily? Toward the first part of the year, my spouse was always trying to use my computer. In fact, it was a constant struggle, just to get five minutes online daily. But, lately he hasn't even wanted to be on my computer. So, I just figured that meant more time for me. Wow! I was so wrong. Now that my little kid has discovered Elmo games online, she wants to play them almost all day. She clicks back and forth endlessly through the various Sesame Street games until she finally gets bored and gives up my computer. Well, I guess things could be worse. She could be obsessed with playing mindless video games. And, she is learning something, so it's not so bad. So, who hogs the computer the most in your house?

Oh man. You should hear how often I have to get on Reggie Cat because he's always hogging my computer...chair! ha ha. Fortunately I live with just me, myself, I and my cat, Reggie Cat. He loves my computer chair and will spend hours sleeping in it. So I'm nice and I don't push him off or anything. I just let him have the computer. But yeah, I only have myself to contend with. When I lived with my family, my mom was probably the biggest computer hog. I think if I ever get married/have kids...we'll all have our own computers (apparently I'm marrying rich!)

No-one hogs the computer- I limit the time everyone has on it- If my daughter needs it for any kind of a school project- she has unlimited use. My sig. other doesn’t use it much ~ He is funny he will come up with a list of things- and make me sit down with him to figure out- Like he is afraid of breaking my computer- I am on it every night- for about 1 hour- and sometimes when everyone is in bed- I’ll pop on for a bit. So I would be the hog if any of us

Well my home has 3 computer hogs! Hubby my daughter and myself. My duaghter loves to play games online too, she likes the sesame street ones and the nick jr as well as disney. But she has just started school so she isnt able to play as much now. I love to be here on mylot or pogo so that keeps me busy besides all the household stuff. Hubby works from the computer so he HAS to be on the computer. Thankfully we have computers to keep us all happy. 2 desktop computers and a laptop. the laptop is Hubbys for work, I dont touch unless he asks me to do something on it or if I need to do a quick task the laptop is on already. My daughter always uses my computer. So if she wants to use the computer and so do I then I go use my Hubbys desktop computer. So we all get to be the hogs. We are hoping to get my daughter her her own computer soon like for Christmas, my Hubby has already started to build her one.

Hello there. I am very fortunate to have 2 Laptops at home. So this means that my brother and I get our own personal Laptop. My parents do not use the computer and internet. In the past, when we were still using a desktop, my brother and I used to fight to use it.

I live with my parents but I have my own computer so there's really no problem. I do use my computer more than my parents use theirs :P

It is just me and my roommate in my house so he hogs up his computer and I hog up my computer. Overall, I think he spends more time on his computer than I do on mine because he is addicted to this game called Warcraft. No problems trying to access a computer here. I am glad that I do not have to worry about having access to the computer and the internet.

I must admit that I am the computer hog in my house and get to spend a lot of time on the computer, except for the weekends, when it is a war between hubby and my daughter...

When I'm the only one home I am on the computer almost constantly, I do other things as well, I just get stuck here sometimes. When the family is around, it's a toss up who's on it more, I do think I would have to consider myself the computer hog, unless my son is here, if anyone else is on, instead of waiting, he will ask if he can get on for a while, leave and come back later and again ask if he can get on for a while, this is an endless cycle sometimes. On weekend mornings, my husband gets on to play "City Of Heroes", it's usually when no one else is awake yet, sometimes he's on for hours playing, so I guess if we timed it, we all stay on about the same amount of time a week. So maybe we're all hogs, I don't know how to look at it, I guess it depends on the time of day and who happens to be home.

We have more computers than we have people in our house, so we don't have a problem with having to fight for time on a computer. I don't let my son play on the computer yet either, so that helps as well. I spend quite a while on my computer every single day. Usually a few hours. My husband just spends a few minutes on his in the evening checking email and Nascar stats and a few other things. So I definitely spend more time online every day than he does. But since I make money most of the time I'm online, it makes sense that I spend more time online. He would hate it if I quit working. We wouldn't have any money for extra things anymore!

We have two laptops and my son uses our old one for his games online. If he is not using it then my husband uses it for his personal use. Our new laptop is MINE LOL and I get to hog that whenever I want!

That would be me! I actually purchased the computer because I needed it for my home based business, to place orders and things. I let my husband and my son get on when they need to or if they just want to play a game or something, but they are not on it half as much as I am. I really enjoy mylot and I am on here for a while everyday if I can make it. But, since I paid for it with money that I earned specifically for this, it is mostly mine and I am a hog!! LOL!!

My husband use to be the huge computer hog around our house. Getting on was a miracle. Now I get home before him from work so I get first dibs. Basically I've sort of become a computer hog. I try to remember he needs it too...

I think my husband and I are both equally computer hogs. It helps that we each have our own laptop! It seems we're constantly on the computer - I don't know how we would survive without them!

Im the big ole computer HOG in this family. Its only my husband and i, but i love the computer. When my husband gets on the computer he is always downloading those so called spyware things,he is always trying to get rid of viruses, hes like a detective but all he does is mess up things. He puts those things on here to destroy viruses that we do not have and then you can't get those things deleted...He always complains about how messed up things are ,but i told him that he was the one messing stuff up...anyway he thinks hes helping ,so i just let him go and when i get on i delete all the junk he puts on...I cringe when i see him going toward the computer because i know hes going to get everythinh messed up.LOL...I like the computer so much i have to reming myself that i have a house to clean, dishes to do,haha

Me and my fiance both are computer hogs. Since we both work mainly from the computer we are on the computer off and on throughout the day. Luckily we each have our own computers so we are not fighting over one. We are good about giving each other our own space when we are working. I have also introduced my daughter to games online. She has this obsession with Mickey Mouse right now so everytime I'm on the computer she wants to play Mickey Mouse games.

Well when I am here in the UK it is certainly me. The man of the house doesn't have a clue. He can't even turn it on. Now in 5 weeks time when I get home to the USA my daughters, grandkids and even my great granchild are all computer hogs so I have to pretty much fight for my time on the computer. Think I might just have to buy me a laptop and see what happens. When I sta at my youngest daughters I can get on the computer during the day because both her and her husband work and the kids are in school so that helps.

Well its me and my husband he likes to play games and read a bit on the internet, I like to chat with friends and family or read. My son is too young to use computer (well not too young but I try not to let him play so young) he has plenty of time to that when he is older.
