Everyday makeup....

I know when I dress up like for a special occassion or to go to church or want to make a good impression like on a job interview or whatever, I take extra time with my appearance. I make sure my make up is as perfect as I can get it to be, I especially make sure I apply a foundation, liquid makeup, blush, the works. But for just everyday coming and going, grocery shopping or to the movies or whatever, I usually don't apply foundation, maybe just some eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick. I was wondering what most of you use? I sweat a lot and would love to wear foundation more, but I can't find a product that I am comfortable with using. I tend to stay with a liquid foundation, but so many on the market these days, it's confusing. Some use powder, liquid, tinted moisturizers. What's the best and most used?

Sorry I can't help you. I only wear makeup if I want to be "dressed up". I don't wear it day to day.
I hear that mineral foundation is great. Am planning on trying it. If it works well for me I will wear makeup more. I just need to do the whole thing from foundation to mascara if I am going to bother and it is a pain. If I can get that look of foundation, concealer and powder with the mineral makeup I will definitely wear it more!!

I hear you and I understand and agree with you. I am thinking of trying the Neutrogena mineral makeup that a mylot friend suggested. I will have to let you know how it works out, if you get to try it before I do, please post and let us know. Thanks for sharing with me.

For everyday make-up, I like using at tinted moisturizer, which is lighter than a foundation. I also use a light powder, some eyeshadow, lip balm, blush and mascara. If I'm going out for a special occasion, I will probably put on a bit more eye make-up than usual.

Even if I'm just going to the supermarket I always put make-up on--I don't use much, just liquid foundation and blush,..that's it...I usually use good old Cover Girl foundation....that seems to work the best for me...and cheaper too...LOL

I use Cover Girl too, b/c it's cheap and I am not wasting a lot of money. But I only wear it for special times. Wish I could find something that was light but also would give me moisturizer and some color to give me that polished look but not make me sweat up a storm... : )

I like to get all made up for special occasions but just everyday i try not to wear too much make up. I'll put on concealer to cover my dark circles and any spots or blemishes. Then i'll put on blusher to give me a bit of colour as i'm quite pale at the moment. I'll put on mascara to open my eyes and make me look more awake! Finally a slick of cocoa butter lip balm and i'm good to go.

Since retiring I now only use lipstick and mascara for daytime and foundation and blush added if it is a special social function.

If you don't use makeup and have nothing to contribute to this discussion, why did you bother writing anything.
