Does it ever feel like kids have a radar?

I swear both my kids have a special radar that tells them when I'm trying to get a nap. Because when I try to get one in, they don't let me. My older daughter is easier to distract with a movie...but my youngest is 9.5 months old so its not like I can put a movie on for her.

Oh I know exactly what you mean. My son seems to have a radar that tells him that I am trying to get something done. Even if hes in his room with the door shut playing with his toys. If I am just sitting on my couch watching tv, or on my pc playin a game or something, he is fine he'll play for hours, and occasionally want me to get something for him etc. The minute I decide, to do the dishes, or sweep the floor, clean the house from top to bottom or even stop playing on the pc and start working on some thing on it hes right there by my side, demanding my attention, following me around, and uncleaning what ever i do manage to clean... its crazy.

I can completly relate I can have the girls completely involved in something but the minute I try to something done they need my attention! So nothing gets finished - laundry washed not folded. Dishes washed not put away etc. My house is not adult friendly LOL. As far as naps we all lay down for a nap together in the afternoon ans even if I don't sleep it is down time. It works out well except for the occasional times the girls get out of sync with when they fall asleep:) Rose
