Not necessarily a new fact, but do you think you learn something every day? About yourself? A friend? A stranger? A place? It's definitely true for me, every day I experience and learn something new and different even if it is only small. As I'm still a student, I generally learn a new fact each day, as well as learning a new way to react to or approach a certain situation, a new interest, something about a friend or someone I hardly know. I'm learning more and more since joining myLot as well, just about other people & cultures around the world - different views on situations and issues that I haven't heard or thought of before. I love that I am constantly learning, I never want to stop expanding my knowledge and mind =D How about you wonderful people of myLot? x. Malyck

It is virtually impossible to stay totally stagnant in life and not learn anything, for even if you shut yourself away from all physical stimuli, you would still be learning within yourself at least. I learn so much every day that it is hard to organise it all in my brain, my "filing" system is a shambles, with mismatched bits and pieces everywhere, but it is still all in there and the library is getting larger by the second. I love learning, everything in this world is beautiful, has potential, is interesting and is worthy of my attentions. The unlimited ability to learn has to be one of the greatest gifts bestowed on humankind.

Yes, I do learn NEW things everyday. It is what makes life worth living for us, it helps us also being a more productive individual. Asa saying I've read before goes, "We all have talents, the only thing that matters is on how we use it." For me, the talent there is the way we cope up with things, mingling or interacting, happenings and situations. The manner we use these talents, gifts, and the how we can inspire others also..

I need to learn something new every day so I can blog about it. Often I try to share my new-found information with friends and co-workers but they don't always seem to think that what I found so interesting is interesting to them. I am not sure they are learning every day, but I suppose they can't help it if they are reading the newspaper, watching TV, adjusting to the new computer program at work, etc. I think being on the Internet is a guarantee of learning new things every day and some things you might never have learned in any other way.

Yes, every day is a new experience for me, good or bad and everybody I have come across have left their impact on me. I remember the colleague who introduced me to a new wonderful restaurant, the colleague who waited every morning for me to come so that she could pour her troubles to me, the colleague who expected me to bring lunch for her everyday, the colleague who fabricates rosy stories about herself and her family, the friend who calls me up only for her own business propaganda, the friend who meets me after say 20 yes and exclaims in front of everybody ‘OMG, Sudipta you have become so old’, the friend who bad-mouths me to others, the family member who expects favours without returning, the unknown stranger who helps me at the metro, the cabbie who abuses me for not keeping enough change, my boss who shouts at me at every drop of hat (I am his favourite punch-bag), my husband who loves me and tolerates me, my parents who (words are not enough to explain this), my in-laws who have done so much for me out of compulsion and not love and then my son…my sunshine, my connection to my lost childhood, my dreams, my playmate. I have learned something from each of them and as my journey is not over yet, I am eager to learn more.

I imagine that I do learn something new every day but not always consciously...For example, some of the things i may learn are just little things so I'd not even be really aware that I am learning something new...other things though are big things and you just cant help but to realize it

its true for me. I also learn new things everyday. Last few weeks have made me more mature. I have a changed outlook towards people. I am no more that very simple girl next door, who believes in all. May be some very bad people has made my outlook like this.

Hi Malyck - what a great discussion! There is an old saying here in England - "the more you know, the more you realise you don't know!", and that is so true in my opinion. The world is such a big and wonderful place, and no matter how hard we try we can never know everything about everything! Music, art, theatre, ballet, opera, science, technology, computers, the Internet, sport of all kinds, languages, different religions, gardening, building, farming, astrology, astronomy, history, geography......... the list goes on! So to me, you can always learn something new everyday just by looking around you. There is so much to see and learn. Open your mind and you will be thrilled and rewarded! Have a nice evening!

Before reading your comment, I hadn't even thought of the areas in which many of us are still amateurs. =P "The more you know, the more you realise you don't know" That's spot on! The more I learn about one area, the more I crave to know - I realise I haven't even skimmed the surface! Thanks for your wonderful response! =D

Yes. This is true for me! In real I always count naturally that I learned this: I am not preparing a list or not maintaining a diary regarding that but I am just aware that everyday I really learned some thing!

When I graduated from college, I knew that I would still learn a lot particularly in the workplace; because most of the things I learned from school were all theories. Well, I guess all of them except the actual and day-to-day interaction with friends, classmates, teachers, and acquaintances. I believe these theories were proven and applied when I started work. But after a few years of being on the job, I really thought that I have learned basically everything I need to know, including relationships. But I was wrong. Everyday seems to be sending me lessons in life that I should learn. Even now that I'm married of four years and have a lovely daughter, I still am a student in this classroom and journey called life.

That's so great to hear, Mykmari - I actually love the feeling of thinking I've got it all sorted - I've got enough knowledge to suffice in a certain area, and suddenly I learn something new and exciting either through school/study or just day-to-day interaction. You'll go through another amazing, beautiful lesson and journey as you watch your daughter grow, learn & mature for herself =D I wish you all the best! Oh I just love life =D

Yes it's true. I learned from my hubby's friend's behaviour that never allow others to interfare in your domestic affairs. Story starts from here. I just allowed my hubby's friend's son to take home a used toy of my neigbour's baby as he was crying badly and in return he gave a used toy to my baby on his first birthday after almost 15 months of the incident showing revenging attitude. But I donated that to a charity shop and brought a new same toy by convincing my hubby so that his friend will not feel bad. However my son plays with others toys and I don't mind it but how can I allow someone to do so. My son use to share his clothes with his cousins who is only one year older to him. But I learned that never be emotional to others. If you're obliged to someone then say thanks and help him if he needs your help otherwise say "Good-Bye". I strongly agree that even though you are grown up there have lots to learn.

I definitely agree, we always are learning something new everyday. Besides the fact I attend school and have to study so much, but just about life itself. I learn which roads not to take in the morning b/c of traffic. I learn the ones which are the best to get to places faster. I learn how to navigate the computer better each day every time I use, or just learn about new life situations by co-workers, bloggers and learn that I should be thankful for all the things that I do have and not envy those who have more. There is so much that we learn we shapes us as a person. And I agree some of the things we learn are so little that we may not even be conscious of what it was and probably say oh I haven't learned anything today, when in fact we did. ;)

I think if you pay attention to the world around you that it is almost imposible not to learn something new everyday. What ever it may be might not be important in the big picture but everything we learn adds up to life experience. Without the learning there would be no growth. So what if the things we learn we didn't det out to or care for just to live day by day brings something new. Sometimes I learn to much and wish I could delete things but that is not an option. I say keep on learning
