In terms of number of posts? do you feel more challenged if you feel like you are competing? I have this one friend who is way ahead of me in number of posts and I try to challenge myself and say..hey! you can surpass him..but I think that's quite impossible now..:) He's just so good and he keeps on posting everyday..:( And in some ways, I think it makes me more motivated to posts and squeeze time to particiapte and have that number increase. How about you? Do you silently compete with others too?

yes, i will compete with other mylotters. the most posts i found in mylot is over 15000, and i hope i can catch up with her, although i just post over 1500. i want to catch up with members who has many active referrals here, and i have 9 referrals, but all of them are inactive. frankly, when you want to compete with others, then you will have a big motive. i hope i can be number one here, haha. maybe i'm dreaming now.

I don't think I have a reason to compete with other myLotters. I join this site to have fun and maybe to earn a little money for myself. So my motivation to post in a discussion is not to compete with some one else. I think it's much more fun if we do like that. Isn't it?

It is an interesting question. To be frank with you, ever since I posted the discussion-- "Can you guess how many posts I will reach by the end of 2007 on Users By Rating?" I think that I am trying to be competitive in making my posts be on top page by the end of this year. I would appreciate your going to responding to this topic of mine very much. hehe. Thank you in advance.

Hello cefaz_21, I do compete with one of fellow mylotters here. She knows that too and if she is in your friend list, I definitely sure that she knows I am talking about her. We are on a 'friendly race'. It is just for fun *smiles* She is quite active here and she is with 1000+ posts ahead of me. But I don't feel the pressure to compete. Sometimes, I am a bit slow but I know she will slow down later. So, I hope to catch up with her that time *smiles* Well, she does know that too!

I am not into competing here in terms on the number of posts, but I believe someone in my friend's list used to compete with me and tried hard to catch up with my posts. she even made a discussion about it, but that was during my inactivity here. Though she've succeeded in racing at me, I don't think that I can still pull up my usual average of postings a day. I am flattered and happy for her at the same time, atleast she told me that she did compete with me!;)

competition - healthy competition
Nice to see that you have a very healthy competition. It will end up in good as you as you say it motivates you to improve your postings. I dont compete with anyone here in mylot.i spare little time and hence hurry up my postings within that time and log off.But i do see mylotters who have crossed more than 5000 and think of reaching that milestone soon.Keep going in a good pace in your race.good day.

hi cefaz, i dont compete with somebody else here because i have reasons of what i have accomplished here in mylot. whether its good or bad result i have reasons for my own and that is why im always loss when i compete with the number of post. i have a full time 5 days job in the real world and i only come here in mylot for only 2 days and spent almost 3-4 hours per day in that 2 day so i think i dont have the right to challenge somebody else although i have that feeling sometimes but i decline whenever i consider my situation.

hi cefaz_21..i never thought that way since i am here..actually i don't have much time to see even for the discussions which i have started..i am becoming irregular here day by day because of my busy schedule so sometimes i don't post for like many days and i don't get an idea what's happening here.when i started posting here in the beginning i posted like 5-6 or even more discussions everyday and even then i never noticed or bothered about my earnings or postings..except when a discussion of mine got deleted due to some referrals links in it posted by some members..only then i looked for the answer by asking my friends here as i noted a decrease in my number of posts written next to my username..it was the last time when i checked my number of posts and till now i don't bother..and about the competition with others i don't find this thing healthy at all as competition in this way here on myLot and that too for number of posts or anything like that is not gonna be fruitful or even useful in any way..so it just never popped into my brain..what i think is this site is not for being competitive to your fellows in number of posts but in quality of posts..because the number of posts started or respond by a person depend upon his/her capability and time for posting and not upon any other criteria for which everybody would be qualifying..so even if somebody wants to compete here then he/she should do so by competing in the postings of healthy and meaningful discussions rather than earnings or number of posts.. i don't even compete silently..if somebody does that..its funny..:-)

I dont know enyone personaly that I can have a "competition" with so to speak. And I cant compete with anyone in general because how do you pick someone to comete against when there are over 107.000 people on mylot. So no I dont compete.

When i read your title, i was about to say no. But reading the information below i think it's probably a good thing to be challeneged by other mylotters. To keep yourself enthused with it. My goal is to reach 200, and then my next will be 250, and so on from there. Major goal being the 500! One day i'll be up there with you ;)

I don't compete with people who have more posts. Posting just for posting or just to get cash is stupid:/ If I don't have anythig more to say than "I agree with you" or "No" etc. I just don't reply to discussion. I've seen here some users here with 2000+ posts that are just dirty spammers, andyest they menage to have 9 or 10 in their star... I don't get it ._.'''

You know I don't think that ever occurred to me. I might have a lot more posts than several of my friends though. I remember one poster who used to be here a lot, and I'd wonder if I'd ever catch up, but I don't try. I don't need extra pressure. I have enough of that in my real life! LOL

No I am not competing with anyone but it was so much fun when one of my friends in mylot said she wanted to "beat" me! That almost got me laughing for the whole day. It was surely a friendly competition and she asked me to slow down for her (I told her I would try). I think it's a kind of good motivation and I don't really mind. Just I thought it was cute that she mentioned it to me! Like you said, that would motivate you to post more!

Hey. No I dont compete with others and it has'nt crossed my mind too either, I compete with my number of posts, so my earnings are up... I could'nt care a less about how much someone else has, I challenge myself to reach a higher post number, then it already is...

No, I think there is no reason to compete in here. yeh, we are here to earn but at the same time to make friends. To share and to learn. No time of competing. And it never came into my mind to compete. I enjoy in here with no competition. I read some nice discussions and i learned from it.And it help me to motivate myself to improve mine. I acquired some new learning in here. It's also a big help to myself. Knowing people thru there discussions and the way they and to relate in the discussions that they responded with. IT's nice to be here with no competition.

No. I don't compete with anyone else. In the first place I'm just new here and I only have few friends here yet. I just enjoy posting and responding to the discussions of my interest.
