Okay as of late I have easily gotten bored with this site. I have 331 members on my friends list. But yet only about 30 or less seem to start new discussions. Also only a select few are actively responding in my discussions. I have thought about deleting some from the list. This means geting rid of ones that I rrespond to their discussions yet they never respond in mine. This emtails geting rid of members that have not logged in fotr months on end. But the problem that lies therin is that if I was to do this I might be lucky to have 30 friends on my list. Oh well. I guess I just wait it out and see how these other "friends" perform on mylot for me etc. Anyone else ever do a major deletion of friends? Isn't it like starting as a new member basically? Have you even thought about deleting many friends in one fell swoop? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

In fact,I have the same problem as you did. However,I never think about of getting rid of them.I guess they are just busy in working or studying,so they dont have much time to log on to mylot.Maybe after a period of time, they would perform better.Happy posting!

Yeap, a couple of times I did it, weed through my friends list deleting many friends that had not responded or been online in months, took alot of time to do this task cause you have to go into the profile to tell how long they have been to myLot is not like you can look at the name and it tells you such information, heavens no, so the process is tedious and once you do about 50 or so you are pretty much tired of doing it and disgusted by all the friends that have not been online in months .. .I found when I started deleting like this I got less responses in my discussions also, don't know if there was a coleration with regard to the deletion or not, but I have since stopped such practices, now I will be happy with as many people that want to be my friends

I am the type that would feel guilty as hell for deleting friends/members though. HAHAHA! Can I test it with you as the first deletion? HAHAHAHA!! Kidding. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I guess I'm ucky that I am still on your list grandPa. I often start my own post, because I am more into responding. I do delete those inactive one's, which I took a good consideration before doing it. As of now, I still receive new friend's request, but only a few are lucky to be added. It really depends more on their activity, productivity and maturity they gain here on mylot. I don't look much about the reputations though, because I believe that I added them because we share the same interests.

I haven't deleted a bunch of friends at one time. I've deleted a few that haven't been on in a really long time. I just figure if they come back and I see they are back then I'll add them again. I'm one of your friends and I try to reply to most of your discussions. So don't delete me. LOL

I certainly hope I am not one of those friends for you...however I must admit that I have deleted a few in the past (lately)that have not logged on in two months or more...I assume they are not comming back and it made room for some new ones. It is frustrating when you start a discussion and very few friends come in etc... I understand where you have been comming from this last while and I am sorry I have not posted in your discussions more often lately but I have been very busy and not on here as much lately!

i never deleted any friends on my list..i just let them still on my friends list..i had many friends now on my list but few just respond to me..some just don't respond at all..i know my discussions are boring but i wish some will still take effort to respond as i respond most of their discussions and would even catch up when i didn't have the chance to respond once it was newly created..

No they aren't boring at all. Some people have different tastes and interests as you know. That's why most mine deal with life and days I have. At least they can add a few words about their experience along those lines then. Come to think of it I don't think I've gotten emails about new discussions from you as of late. Don't you DARE delete me!!!!! I know I am not here much and don't respond a lot, but I do check in from time to time and respond to you when I do.I would be SOO depressed if you deleted me! I know one person that asked mylot to delete ALL his friends and started over. He had like.. over 1,000 and could not do it manually. I can see why with that many friends it would take days to delete them all. I went through one time and deleted any that i had not seen on my, or my friends threads for awhile. I kinda felt bad about it, but not for long. I was getting a lot of my good friends threads missed due to so many junk discussions in the way on my friends started list.

NO it was OldBuddy. He had so many! I have not seen wizzie either but I am not here much. I am cleaning up my e-mail and saw this post. I had over 400 unread comments and even more unread threads started by friends! I had over 650 unread e-mails in my inbox!! I now have only 8.I have been at it for over 3 hours! and no this is the only post I have made on any site. All that time was deleting and moving e-mails and folders.

Nope- I should though- but then again what would it do- besides clean up the list- I try to be active in my friends discussions- I only respond to my friends discussions- because I just don’t have time for anything else. I think people are dropping like flies here- I haven’t not gone through my friends list- I should – maybe I will this weekend- and delete the members who aren’t active-

I accept ALL friend requests. I also check them out. If I'm interested in their posts, I turn the alert on. If we have nothing in common, I leave it off. Some haven't been around for a while...that's ok; some don't respond to my discussions, that's ok too, sometimes I make a mistake and discover that the person is in my opinion a bit of an idiot or something, then their alert gets turned off, but I don't let it bother me. I thought at one stage I should clean up my friends list as I know some haven't been here for months. A couple I just couldn't bring myself to delete...just in case they returned and were hurt that I'd deleted them. The other side of it is that I'm on dial-up and checking to see when a member last posted and then deleting them takes ages. I'd rather spend my time posting or responding.

Well mylot is a site which has no time limitatios and so some friends do not log in for months and also because they must be having alot of referals so when their referals respond -their income increases-whithout them having to log in for long period -also mylot is a site where you try to earn an extra amount as and when it comes-so their is no need to delete any friends -for they will respond maybe not regularly. Also there a wonderful people on mylot-remember they have other activities to look after also-so let them stay,my friend there is no need to be upset-atleast 30 are responding out of the 300+ friends you have!

Hello grandpa Bob!(",) I feel the same sentiments as yours but looking in the brighter side, we can always add new friends who are active and delete those who are not opening their mylot account for months. We can still enjoy the site if we feel the new vibe going in here. So I hope you wont leave mylot. I am not making new discussions lately but I am still active in responding to my friends discussions. I really suggest that you delete and add new ones.(",) Great day and God bless!(",)

there are so many of you and so many responses to your posts. i generally read the first and of course the title. but if there are 30+ responses already (which is usually the case) someone else has already said what i wanted to say. i don't post just to take up space and repeat what i've already read several times over. i don't think that's quality responses so i generally will pass by. your discussions always get so much attention that i never seem to have an original thought for them by the time i get to them. i had quit starting discussions because i found it disheartening to never get any responses, even on a subject i feel that people must have alot to say about. but alas i don't have alot of friends so i get ignored by many mylotters.

If you respond without reading the others then whatever you respond with is your own response. That's how I look at it. Well start adding friends then you'll get swamped with responses on your discussions. That's one part of earning here is getting responses. And thanks for your time here responding. And thanks for helping to make this discussion one of the ones in the Hot Topics list today. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Like Dancingmooney, I hope I am not one of those friends for you. I know I do not respod to each and every one of your discussions, but I would rather only posts to the ones that I have something quality to say about it..LOL I have not went through and deleted any friends, I really don't know who has been on and who has not. I don't pay that much attention. I cannot get on as much as some, but I am on more than others. I try..:( sorry GP Bob. Have fun in what you do, and remeber worrying only causes un-needed stress. No No NO!!!! You respond more than a lot actually. Hahahahaha!! I also am selective in my responses as to the ones that pique my interest or that I know something about. I don't respond to all my friends topics all the time either. I am referring to ones that just post and never respond. Especially the ones that get upset when we don't respond to theirs. Those are the ones that are getting deleted by members here. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I've felt that way myself, and I think it's about time I do the same. There is nothing more discouraging than having one-way "friends." I think the worst is when I do respond to their discussions, but they still do respond my my responses. That isn't being friendly, just greedy! I'd say go ahead and delete away. Just don't cut me! I look forward to your discussions AND responses! Even though I'm not as active here as I once was, (trying to get back to "real" life.) I'm still here. :)

I don't bother deleting anyone. I would have to go through pages upon pages of people just to find the active ones, etc. If they are not responding to my discussions or starting discussions of substance, I simply delete their notification emails when I get them. Yes, I know who they are by name. I don't start many topics, so I fall into that category on your friends list. I got tired of little responses, plus I feel I just have nothing I want to say. Maybe I'll get back into the swing of things, but until then.. I just don't have anything I want to discuss.. I hope you don't delete me..

I have not been here long enough to have that many friends. Old Buddy went through his list not too long ago, and pretty much did what you are talking about. I personally think I'm lucky to have made the list I have. I have a few who are members but never posted a thing (unfortunately, they are in my downline) I suppose I could weed out a few, but I love responding to discussions and you never know when that lively gem will show up. I envy you Grandpa Bob that you can start so many discussions without effort. I hope you don't stop, I know I don't respond all the time but I love reading about you and your family. Maybe we should be thanking you for sharing as much as you do about your life.

Nope they have no idea unless they check their friends list. That's the rough part. But if you aren't sure about a member and or deleting them you can send them a P.M. mentioning why etc if you want to see their reaction or just to let them know the reasoning for the deletion.
