In a new house

We just moved into a new house. Our old house had carpeting in every room. The new house has none whatsoever. Both of our cats are almost a year old and have never lived anywhere other than the house we just moved from.
We've lived here about 3 weeks and we have laughed our hineys off at the cats. They are just now getting the hang of running and jumping and TRYING to stop on slick floors. I don't know if I've ever seen anything so funny.

I am getting a laugh just thinking about it. Cats just have to learn by experience, and in the meantime they are very entertaining. I like how if they do something that looks really strange, they give you the attitude as if they are saying "Foolish human, don't you know, I MEANT to slide halfway to Australia without stopping." or they turn around and start bathing themselves if they have done something that looks really stupid. It is as if they are saying "Who,me? I am always cool." I hope you are all enjoying your new home.

OH yes, they do slide so very far. LOL
The best one so far has been when my b/w male cat decided to start licking his hind end while he was running. Normally, he would stop instantly. This time, on the linoleum, he was sliding with his back legs in the air whilst licking. I almost peed on myself laughing at him that time.

When I first got married we lived in a trailer with linoleum floors. We had two cats. They would run across the back of the sofa, under the dining room table, and then slide all the way down the hallway! Then they would run back to the living room and do it all over again. They were having great fun, and it was fun to watch!
