I Could Not Resist!!!

Canada

Three months in the USA, and I missed my "Second Cup" brand coffee terribly!!! For those who are not familliar with The Second Cup, it's a chain of Canadian cafes. I was pleased to learn that Air Canada gets their coffee from The Second Cup, and best of all, it's free to all passengers. Not having had my favourite coffee in a quarter of a year, I drank about 10 cups on the way home. I started drinking the stuff in Phoenix, and I was finishing my last sip as we touched down in Toronto. I was dismayed to discover that my phone had messed up, when I arrived at home, and I needed to call my husband in AZ to let him know I'd arrived safely at my apartment in Canada. I decided that the thing to do was to go and look for a nice person who would let me use their telephone. Considering the call was long distance, I thought an even better thing to do would be to buy a calling card. The closest store I could think of was Maple Variety, right next to The Second Cup, of all places. Being a regular in The Second Cup, I figured they'd let me use their phone. I bought my calling card, and I headed for The Second Cup. Of course I just had to order a mocha latte. Who could resist a mocha latte from The Second Cup? I sure coudln't, especially after three months. The stuff on the plane was good, but it was just black coffee. A mocha would be better. After 10 cups of black coffee and a mocha latte with two shots of espresso in it, I'm totally wired!!! I'm going to be awake for days!!!

I like Timmies too, but The Second Cup is more of a cafe atmosphere as opposed to a "fast food" kind of a coffee shop. Know what I mean? But they are both exceptional!!

You were distinctly wired!!! I am SO glad I wasn't there, because I would have had to tie a rope to your ankle to keep you tied down. You did pretty much the same thing on the way down here, and talked a mile a minute on the two hour ride from Phoenix to Sedona. Air Canada should NOT offer free Second Cup Coffee to passengers!

Well, I love coffee ,but I had no idea that someone would be so excited about coffee. My favorite coffee is white chocolate mocha and I can drink almost every day. Well, I guess you are not going to be sleeping for a few days.

Hahaha, What did you need a flight for? I bet you could have done it yourself if you had tried :) I sure know that feeling, being without your fav beverage for a long time, i have the same with a Danish 'ristet hotdog'. I live in England for 10 years and they sure cant make a propper hotdog. So every time i returned to Denmark during them years, the first thing i would do in the airport is to look for somewhere to get one. I will also make sure while i was here to have my 2 daily ristede hotdogs when possible. Now after having been back in Denmark for 18 month i soooo mish a donner kebab, and sure that will be the thing when i go over to visit next month. Greetings.

I can understand missing a particular brand of coffee, as when I want coffee it's a certain brand. Some brands just don't taste good to me. My brand is Folger's, as its not to strong and helps me stay awake. Hope your able to get a lot done, as you should be awake for quite awhile.

After all of that coffee you had, I'm surprised you weren't bouncing off the ceiling when you got home! LOL. I know what you mean about missing a favorite brand of coffee. I buy the Starbuck's brand of coffee beans, usually a mocha flavor, and I grind them at home. I haven't had any for quite a while now. I think I'm going to have to get some more when hubby gets paid Friday. I'm glad you made it home safe and sound, even if you were full to the brim with coffee. LOL

ROTFL....Okay Danish, a day has passed, have you had any sleep yet? That was just too funny! I could just hear the energy in your written words! Thanks for sharing that with us. I know you made me and a few others laugh out loud. I remember my first mocha with expresso.....my goodness, I couldnt figure out why I couldnt sleep! I had it late in the evening, no one told me and I had NO idea that would do that to you. It tasted great! No doubt about that, but I have to stay away from it really. I get to "wired" and Im naturally "wired"! Just makes it worse...lol Bay xx
