My day started out wonderfully. At 6:50am my alarm blared out for me to get my backside out of bed. In an attempt to get to the alarm before it woke my 17 month old, my foot got tangled in the sheet and I crashed to the floor. I landed, hard, on my right hip, which I have had problems with for years. If that weren't bad enough, I managed to smash my face into the dresser when I tried to get up, smacking the bridge of my nose on the handle of one of the drawers. My nose is killing me, not to mention I am limping worse than usual. I'm waiting to see if I end up with raccoon eyes or not. I'm sure my nose is broken again (my oldest son has broken it twice by accidently headbutting me) but there isn't anything they can do about it. There is no setting it or anything, since the area where it keeps getting broken it right between my eyes, which is very fragile and impossible to set, for the most part. I have a huge bump there right now, but so far no real bruising. I look like I didn't get enough sleep last night, but that's it so far. I called my husband at work and told him about it. Poor guy! I told him that he'd probably get blamed for hitting me and he wasn't even home, not that he'd ever lay a hand on me anyway. UGH! I hope the rest of the day goes more smoothly! I'd crawl in bed and stay there, but I'm not sure that I'd be safe there, at this point! lol

sounds like you had a not so fun morning there! Not to be unduly nosy, but do you have really brittle bone structure around your nose? breaking it more than once sounds painful and a possible third time? owie! I hope your day gets better for you lol.

I had gastric bypass surgery back in '05 and since then I have gotten sick more often and I've noticed that my bones, teeth and such aren't as strong as they should be, so I do believe that's part of it. I take vitamins up the ying-yang, and I drink milk 95% of the time, but it doesn't seem to matter. My iron does okay, but other levels don't like to be where they should, so I tend to bruise and get hurt fairly easily. :(

It sounds like you dont have much fun when it comes to bones :oS I cant think of anything offhand that would help with building calcium and it sounds like your doing all you can anyways. Have you talked to your doctor about possible osteoparosis? It's just a thought and im not saying you have it but its a possibility that you may want to look into. *hugs*

Not specifically, no. She's diagnosed my first two nose breakings but is on vacation right now, so doesn't know about this accident. I woke up sore as....heck this morning. My whole right side hurts, not to mention my poor nose. She won't be back until the end of next week. :( It's something that I might have to have her look into, I guess. I honestly hadn't thought much about it until you mentioned it.

I'm sorry you've had such a tough time. Your title is so funny, that's something that I say about myself, but more my daughter ALL the time, we are so clumsy. She even fall UP the stairs, poor thing, her boyfriend makes fun of her all the time, as my husband does me. I certainly hope that one day your son will realize, if he hasn't already, that you need gentle hugs, not head butting's (even though they were by accident). Sounds like you need to have your house cushioned to protect you. I hope the rest of your day goes better. Good luck and for heaven sakes, please be careful and take care of yourself.

Thank you for sharing that with me, I understand, well, I've never had an autistic child, so I don't know, but as a mother I understand some of what you're saying. I wish you all the best.
