In the past couple years it's gotten very popular, but there are many somewhat stupid shows like Big Brother, Real world and bachelor and stuff. Do you think some are staged? What do you think of reality TV?

I hate those shows, but I am guilty of watching VH1 reality shows.

What do I think of reality TV.... Well, I am sick of it to be honest. I did indeed watch the first Survivor. It was new and exciting something different then the regular sitcom. But then everything became a reality show. There is just TOO much! I liked the Amazing Race. I watched probably 3 seasons of that and then they had to start weirding it up by doing a "family" race etc.. so I stopped. I never got into Big Brother or any of that other stuff though. I do have to say though that Marilyn Manson was right. Reality is TV.................

I am a fan of Big Brother, have been since it started. They are having to be careful this time round because of past shows. I have heard Celebrity Big Brother is to be postponed as this year had the worst number of viewers. X Factor is another of my favourites I love to listen to the amazing voices people have and also to see those that are less fortunate. It has really taken off this year, having Dermot present this year is a bonus too as we get to see him on tv long ( sorry but he is dreamy.) I have not seen Real world though I have heard of it, I have not heard of Bachelor either. I loved Joe millionaire ( Evan's more than David's) I do like reality tv in general, as I like to watch the reactions, trial, tribulations of people. It can too be boring at times but for the most part it has my attention.

I think that reality tv was better when it was new. The ideas have gotten old and so I find it rather boring. As for staged story lines, it would seem that alot of them are. Big Brother is especially ridiculous and staged seeming. I think they maybe a fad that is slowly making its way out.

I don't mind Canadian and American Idol, all though I usually don't watch religously. Though really reality shows annoy me. I really can't stand them. I think they are a waste of a time slot, that could be filled with what I call GOOD viewing material.

I like some reality TV. For example, the Real World show with Pedro Zimora, the young AIDS activist who marries his boyfriend on screen. I like Food Network reality shows, too, Challenge, the Hungry Dectective, Dinner Impossible. Pimp My Ride is cool, too. I also enjoy Top Chef and Project Runway, Shear Genius was sort of cool as while. Most standard reality shows are stupid and annoying. I especially hate the dating shows! That's humiliating to women.

Hey I am a big Brother fanatic. I subscribe to the live feeds and I can tell you that those fights this year were not staged and in fact much worse then what was portrayed on TV. Another one I like fairly well is surviver. I mean TV is Tv its sole intention is to entertain us. So if its not your cup of tea, thats okay there are tons of things on TV that I dislike. Just not Big Brother :)))

I'm addicted to the drama of it. Even though networks tend to splice shows together to make them look better than they are, I still can't help myself. I've seen shows that interview people who were on a reality show and they'll point out where things were put together to make it look like they did something they didn't or where their voice was put in when really they didn't say something at that time. So they are stagged, and not really reality, but they are still entertaining to watch.

Like it was mentioned, the very first Survivor I watched because it WAS new and different. After that, it got nauseating, with every network coming out with their own reality show. With that said, the only reality show I really watch is Hell's Kitchen, and now Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. I also take a peek at America's Top Model from time to time just to see how pathetic that industry is.
