I have a confession to make. I love those sheets of plastic with all the air bubbles in it. Someone left a large piece of it on top of a box that was meant for our custodial crew to pick up and throw away. I couldn't keep myself from snatching it out, and carrying it away to my office. I have been happily making each tiny bubble snap as I bust it. Did you know that you could type with one hand and bust those little bubbles with the other? ha Are you a closet bubble wrap lover? Or does it get on your nerves like it does my hubby's?

My cousin love bubble wrap too. She says it is a great stress reliever. One year for her birthday I bought her a whole roll of bubble wrap. I wrapped it in pretty paper, you should of seen her eyes when she opened it. Everyone thought I was crazy but her.

That is such an awesome idea. i have a cousin is 45 and autistic. She never grew up in her mind, but is smart as a whip, if that makes sense. She loves bubble wrap! I think I know now what I may get her for Christmas! Her mother may kill me.

I love those bubbles. It is fun to pop them I wish I had some now. I know if something comes in the mail with these in it I have to stop and pop them.

I just sent my daughter up to the principal's office to pick up a couple of boxes for me that have come in the mail. One of them I suspect will have bubble wrap in it. I hope so anyway. I hope it doesn't have those awful peanuts.

There was a study done at some university that was cheap ways to relieve stress and believe it or not, bubble wrap was on the list. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited that what I'd been doing for years as fun was actually a way to make me healthier!

Oh Howell! You know it is. When I get angry at someone, I always try to find a piece of it. THen while I'm popping, I can pretend that I'm pinching someone's head off!

Yes yes yes!!! I simply love those to the extent that I fight my son over one of those…who gets the right to burst which one. Anywhere I see them, I will carefully take and fold and keep in a safe place, you know so that the bubbles do get squashed or soft. And then like an extremely prized possession, I will slowly take it out and show it to my son and we will fight over who had the privilege the last time. Usually we will come to a truce, like he takes one part and then hands me over the other part. I can’t do much in office coz you know your ‘pretentious’ people are! They get disturbed with each pin-drop. Everytime I buy something or the office gets something, I eagerly await the ‘opening ceremony’ and it really infuriates me if the inner wrapping is of thermocol. What an anticlimax that is. So I see that I am not alone in my childishness…there are other like me and really we could actually spend hours bursting these bubbles. They are so much fun ha ha.

Thnks a ton for the idea. As it is its so difficult to keep children engaged at home, this will definitly help me a lot.

Just don't play it in the car on long drives. We tried that once and it about drove my husband crazy! One of the kids picked up a piece of bubble wrap at a convenience store while we were traveling and the clerk let her have it. Mike ended up pulling off at an exit and throwing it away. Then he found a walmart and bought them each a battery operated travel game...and earplugs.

have you ever played the game where you make all these dots on the paper and then take turns connecting them and then you write your name in the square that you created? My son and daughter have created this game that works a lot like that...with bubble wrap. You pop a bubble, and then write your initial on it with a sharpie. Whoever gets three bubbles in a row, gets a point. When all the bubbles are popped, whoever has the most points wins.

My sister and I used to go crazy when we were kids and my mom would receive packages with the bubble wrap. It drove my dad nuts, but it was fun to us. I still enjoy doing that with bubble wrap, and I have two new poppers to join me in my fun, my dogs Leon and Sherlock. They love to pop the bibble wrap! : )

I wonder if Baby would like it! That sounds like our house. The kids and I all love it and Mike is constantly telling us to quit popping those. he said it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to his nerves. I just try to pop them now when he's not home.

Oh me either. They both have their pros and cons. I love the way the big ones sound...but there aren't nearly as many of them on a sheet, so you run out of them faster. My kids will grab them up and wring them out and then I don't have any left to pop.

see, that worked when my kids were 5 and 6. But now that they are 17 and 18 years old, it doesn't work so well. Now, they jerk them back, and say NO! They're mine, mine, mine and you can't catch me to take them back....lol

Isn't that the funniest thing? I remember when I was working at Target, my mother would beg me to bring home bubble wrap. She was worse than my kids about wanting it to pop. She sat for hours after she had her stroke and popped those bubbles and watched television.

My mother used to beg me to get it for her when I worked on the truck crew at Target. We threw it away by the ton there, even when all of us would take it home.

Yes, I too like to burst those bubbles. But, my wife likes more than me. She makes it a point to save those things for her from the packages that she can burst those tiny bubbles when feels like. I enjoy doing that.

HAHAHA! That is great! I too, love to pop those tempting little bubbles. I don't actively seek the stuff, but if I end up with a piece, I inevitably will pop the bubbles! I wonder the meaning is of our obsession?

I don't know. But! I was talking to my mother earlier, and she said that she had read somewhere that popping bubble wrap was a good way to reduce stress, and lower your blood pressure! I love it! I've found the miracle cure and it only costs 10 cents!

Haha! Yes, I am a bubble-wrap-a-holic! I confess! I came out of the closet a few years ago. My family was shocked, but they soon accepted it. We are now looking for a good support group. Until then, whenever I run out of bubble wrap, I go here --- http://tinyurl.com/gpzf and pop to my heart's content! Yes! It's true. There is now virtual bubble wrap; always there to ease your bubble wrap withdrawal symptoms. Of course, it's not the same as the real thing. No substitute ever is. But it will get you through the hard times. Enjoy.

Someone sent me this website a few years ago, but then I lost the URL. I'm glad you sent it to me. Now I can pop, pop, pop to my hearts content! lol. Yes, you are right, it's not the same, but it sure does help a little

I wish I had some! My daughter and her friends just came and stole all of mine. They were on their way to catch the bus to the volleyball game. i hope Coach Kendig doesn't get mad at them for taking it on the bus.

I love them also. We moved last December. And when I was unpacking some of the boxes had the plastic bubbles in them. After a long day of unpacking I would sit down and relex and play with the plastic bubbles.

I love it! That sounds like so much fun. I'm jealous you know. i have to fight my kids for them, and literally hide them if I get a sheet. I found myself watching for them in trash bags at department stores. Isn't that sad? lol

Did you know that there is a free downloadable game of popping bubbles on a free game website? Need I say more? I like to do other things with it as well, you can take the real bubble wrap and apply paint in interesting patterns with it. I also get a chuckle about it being in all different sizes.

You know that I am always on the lookout for great craft ideas. Wow...this is awesome. I bet it would be a neat texture on a wall if you were painting, and then adding a texture of a slightly darker color. I may have to do some experimenting when we paint my mom's livingroom next weekend.

My roomie had a supervisor that she really liked, that also liked bubble wrap. funny story, I gave her a hand crocheted afgan, she gave her 10 feet of bubble wrap. the bubble wrap is long gone, but she still has the afgan. She isn't her super anymore :(, but we liked her.

that's funny. I love the idea of giving bibble wrap as gifts. I know now what to ask for from people who say they have no money to buy gifts! We're always on the lookout for neat and cheap things to give as gifts!
