Do you want to have a high paid but busy job or average paid and not that busy?

There are two jobs offer to you. One is very busy, and you have to over time work all the time. And the other job isn't very busy and you can leave the office on time. But you can only get the average salary. So what is your choice?

Definitely the average-paid job 'coz I don't want to turn my life into work, work, work. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy he he he he... I want to spend enough quality time with my loved ones and I also want to do other things rather than just working.

You are absolutely right. Working but on the same time we have to enjoy the life. As life can be short and let's enjoy everyday.

I would have to pick the high paid busy job ! I feel that the job that keeps me busy makes my day go by fast ! I also like the thought of high pay !

I think you are very young. Young people always have the energy and it's good to earn enough before retirement.

Oh, I haven't realized you are married. Because I remember from one of your discussion you will go to see your parents with your boyfriend.

Yes,I agree with you.As people are growing older, they think differently.Especially for women, when they get married and have own child, they would pay more attention to their family. Its quite common. So do I.

I prefer a job that won't complicate my duties as a family member and as an employee. so I guess my best answer for this would be, the average one. As long we live our lives peacefully, no worries and the needs are provided, then I think it's all up to the family on how to deal and roll up the money!;)

i have four kids to feed and they need the money for their education. as long as the work will pay exactly what i had worked for then it is okay. a not very busy work just really gives the average sallary. so i'll go for a high paid busy job. i just hope i can still have time for my kids.

Sometimes things can't be perfect. Just like you want to have a travel, but you don't have enough money at the moment. When you have money, and it is likely you don't have time to have a travel. When you have both, it seems that you are not healthy at that time. It is good that you work hard for your family, me too:)

If given these two choices I would have to say average salary that I could leave on time. I am a single mom of three childern and I wouldn't be able to work so much. My family would have to come first. Though I would rather take a busy job that I could leave on time as well and still be average salary. I find that when I am working if it is slow without much to do the hours seem to go on forever but if it is busy with lots to do, I don't notice the time flying by.

I would prefer the average one that may not pay me very much. I feel that we need to balance out our lives and know what our priorities in life are, and this would vary from person to person and many may choose the former option as well, as you earn a lot and you remain busy as well, but if you are singe, maybe that would work well for you, but if you have a fmaily to take care of as well, then beside your money, you too are needed to be part and parcel of your family , wife, and help in rasing the kids. Agreed you do all this to make money, but is money everything, everytime. Maybe most men would choose the former option, but for me, i would prefer that i earn little and am back in time to be with my kids and family, anyday. And incase i am falling short of funds and am not able to earn that much, i would look up some part time job that i can work from, at my own pace, some writing, editing or online kind of a job, as that i can do within my house, and do not need to go out. So a lot depends upon what your nature is, what kind of a person you are, what your requiremnets from life are etc.

I would surely choose the job that pays average but doesnt keep me always busy. This is because of the following reasons 1 If you keep earning all the time and doesnt have time to spend it then whats the purpose of eaning 2 Secondly i need to spent enough time with my family so i cant keep working all the time 3 I dont want to hurt my health by keeping myself always busy in work 4 I am not in greed for money ,i would be happy if i get enough money to live 5 And moreover life is not all about working you need to enjoy the life

I would probably take the lower paid job because I have a home business that takes up a lot of time and effort. I need to create product to sell, so I need time to do that. That's why I work part-time now. I can't stand leaving late. Mostly, I would like a job that fits my personality. I am a loner who likes to work on puzzle-type or creative jobs or simple, repetitive jobs. But, most of the jobs that I seem to get are jobs where I work with the public, have no creativity, and require a level of social skill I really don't have.

Yea, but it really doesn't make me any more money than I spend. As I make more, I spend more. It used to be a hobby that is now taken more seriously. But, at least lately, I haven't had to pay out of my own pocket for supplies and promotions.

Many years ago I was at the very top of my profession, a highly paid PC for a law firm. The hours were long and the work very stressful, extremely busy all the time and although the salary was great, I found myself gradulally becoming more and more depressed. Never enough time for myself, or my family and friends. I felt that I only lived for work and what little time I did have was spent sleeping or trying to rest. I would take the lower paid, less stressful job anytime now.

You made a wise choice. As you know, the life will be very boring if you just work and sleep. You have lots of money, however, you don't even have time to spend it. It will be very meaningless.

i think i'll choose the average salary and not so busy. i'm easily contented and i love having a lot of enough time for myself to relax and have fun. ^__^ and i dont like being too busy because it makes me skip meals and i lose touch with my friends and i dont get free time to play with my nephew. even with an average salary i can earn money from a sideline which would not require so much time and i can budget my money so i dont run out of it and still be able to save some. ^__^

Hello youless!:-) Within the given options, I would like to have the job which isn't too busy and which leaves me time for my family and friends. One should earn to live and not live to earn. We earn to provide for the necessities of daily life, so earning shouldn't be a life in itself. And, a lot of money really can't make someone happy as such. I have seen many, many rich people who are frustrated and sad in life while there are many people who are middle class or even poor, who have a great and a very happy life. I am not downplaying the importance of finances here but it shouldn't be more than what it deserves, a support for life, not a life itself.

Best Response already awarded..okay.. and the topic is alreay one month old.. no probs..Still i wanna have my opinion registered here.. Undoubtedly i would cling on to the second choice of average paid job, with a lot of satifacion. Satisfacion and peace of mind is the more important criteria for me in selecting a job.. One can't sacrifice these things just for the sake of money.. Happy mylotting. Take care my friend.

Hi youless! I think I would prefer to have the job with average payment and not that busy. I think I would want to have more time for my family which really makes me happy and I don't need so much stress in my life even I will be highly compensated. Besides, if I have more time then I can have enough time to log in myLot which I have learned to love and enjoy. Take care and have a nice day.

That is always a hard decision to choose on, and one that I actually am trying to decide on now, as I really enjoy the job I am with now, and it is easy job, but at the same time, I know there are other jobs out there that pay more than what I am making doing almost the same type of work that might not be that easy. So sometimes it is just something that a person needs to weigh out, and make their decision from. One that best be maybe even prayed about if you are a praying person. For me, sometimes, I wish I could go try the other job for like 2-3 weeks while keeping the one that I have right now, and make a decision from there which is the one that I really want to have.

I would prefer a high paying job but busy compare to an average paying job but also busy. hehehe... An average paying job and not busy sounds so relaxed and footloose. You have the time to do other things in your life not only work. It's a perfect time to have some freelance work or create a small business for some added income.

i like being average paid but not that busy. Actually that's how i am now. But i'm doing freelance graphic designing to add to my earnings so i don't really consider that as having a busy job because i can choose not to accept if i wanted, as opposed to having a high paying job that's just so hectic you'd get sick from it. Haha. Having a job that's average pay where you can leave the office anytime would be the best job for me! My job now only gives me flexible days on when i should go to work (i'm not complaining). It's not that bad but i still think being able to leave anytime and return anytime too is the best part of whatever that job may be, even if it's just an average pay. ^_^

i likely choose the busy job with high salary before 30 years old,and choose the not busy job with average salary after 30 years old.i think people should work hard when he/she is young,as people get old,he/she should take his/her health first.so that is my choice.

I would prefer a job that offers average salary and not so filled with pressures than highly-paid jobs but demands more of my time because I want to have more time for my family, friends, and myself too. Large amount of salary would be nothing if you won't get the chance to be with your family more often.
