Lorne Greene - Ringo

I was just listening to the hits from 1964 on www.tropicalglen.com when a tune by Lorne Greene came on. It was "Ringo". Lorne Greene was best known for his portrayal as Ben Cartwright on Bonanza. I remember Bonanza being one of my favorite series. Until tonight, I had forgotten about this song.

Wow, that is an oldie. I had forgotten about it also. I love the old music though. It had meaning to the words. Some of that stuff they call music today has no meaning at all if you can even understand it. LOL

I have tried to listen to the music my kids listen to. It is rough on the nerves.

I had also forgotten that he was also a pretty fair singer, Elusive. I used to enjoy the Cartwright family on Bonanza. I think it is still shown on TV Land. I don't have cable tv, but My children do, and 2 of them love to watch the older shows.

I wish that my kids would have their children watch this show rather than the other garbage they let them watch.

Boy, I don't know about you, but I think we are showing our age here. I remember that song, and I really liked it a lot. I certainly can't remember the last time I heard it! Thanks for the nostalgia.

I have always loved, Lorne Green. I watched and continue to watch Bonanza; one of my favorite shows. I knew that he recorded some songs but I've only heard a few of them and it was quite a long time ago. If I remember correctly he didn't have that great of a voice (I could be wrong) but he tried. Kuddos to him. He was great!
