Do you crochet booties and blankets for your friends or family when they have new babies? I love doing that. My mom has a blanket and bootie set that someone made her when I was born and it's a very special item to have.

I knit hooded sweaters with the zipper that goes up the back. Many of the people who I gave this gift to tell me that they are saving it.

i crocheted a pair of blue socks for my baby. i just saw the pattern on the net and i made it. at first it was too small so i had to make a new one and the 2nd one i made was just fine. i hope it will fit perfectly for my baby boy...

I try to do this. Sometimes it's hard because it never comes out quite right. Often I knit booties, though.

I crochet baby blankets for my friends and coworkers. Its not something I like to make though because I prefer small projects.

I use to do all that. I just recently started crocheting again. I also find myself in need of a simple pattern for a baby blanket, as a co-worker is pregnant and I 'm invited to the shower. Any ideas?

If I know someone well I will almost always crochet a baby blanket for them when they have a baby. But I've never tried booties or anything like that. I've looked at patterns for them and they just seem way too difficult so I stick with the blankets. People seem to like them.
