Are there battered husbands?

Women are vulnerable to abuse(physically, verbally and emotionally) because they are the weaker gender. While cases of battered wives are common, I have not heard of a case of "battered husbands". Do you?

of course there is in the philippines we call them tigasin or tigasaing , tigaluto, of course there are males who are verbally abused by their wife, perhaps not physically, but this is very possible.

I heard something relevant about it but not necessarily a battered one. I mean, there are husbands who are said to be under the power of his wife. If we can figure it out, it's like that the woman is more powerful than her man. But to generalize such, never heard of the existence of having "battered husband/s." Good for us man!

Hello milkfish, In my case i haven't really heard of any case relating to a battered husbands. You right, women are really weak gender in terms of physical capabilities compares to men. Even in imaginations i can't I can't imagine that women can do that to men considering it's physical capacity.

I think there are battered husbands. But no man would admit to it since its also an insult to their male stature.
