I buy a lot of essential oils. I use them imn many ways. The most used way is in this Potpourri burner. A few drops and some water and a tea light candle and the house smells great for the whole day. I use a variety of scents as well. I prefer to use Vanilla and Lavendar the most. My wife also uses them to make a cleanser. That discussion is due soon from me with her recipie. Hee hee. I add a few drops to a hot bath to relax and smell good afterwards. yeah Grandpa Bob likes to smell good at times. I do this at night not going into public smelling of lavendar or vanilla etc. Hee hee hee!! Do you use a potpourri burner? Do you use essentila oils in it or do you use other things for the aroma/scent? This photo is one of my potpourri burners and the bottles of various scents of essential oils I have around the house.

I have several oil burners in the house as well as scented candles and joss sticks. I tend to use lavender and chamomile in the bedroom about half an hour before I go to bed, so the room is relaxing and calming. I have bergamot and citrus in the living room and kitchen, while I often use joss sticks in the bathroom for, erm, let's just say they keep the nasty niffs at bay. :-)

I use the burning sticks actually and they do pretty good.. But the smell don't last long or at least I don't think it does.. It could be cause I'm in the house most of the time.. Though when i do go out and come back in no smells... I am not to sure they are the best to get though.. I've never heard of putting oils in the baths before.. I do use a bubble bathe Lavender though.. That smells fine.. I am more of a Vanilla person myself when it comes to smells..

That's why I use the essential oils most times. The tealight candles will burn for about 4 hours and the aroma lasts about 10 hours usually. Try the oil in the tub. About 10 drops is all that's needed for a soothing fresh smelling soaking.

I love burning oils, it does make the house smell nice, I have an oil burner with a rather large capacity which is good as I put a 9hour candle under it and it goes nearly all day...I have a collection of different oils so I get a surprise as to what aroma I get...

I also have one of those burners too. I bought mine from Bath and Body works in the mall. I also bought some of the oils they have to go in it. I think they smell so good. I like all different kinds of the smells so I don't just have one that's my favorite.

I bought my burner at WalMart. But I do get some of my oils from
Bath & Beyond as well. Especially when they're on sale. HAHAHA!!

I love burning some oil in the house in particular the bathroom. Because my car is down, I cannot get to the flea market and buy some which is sad considering. Other than that, I love them. I use a tart burner and put a tealight candle underneath and put the oil on top, and burn it once I light the candle. Great smells. I surely miss mine.

A drop on the light bulb works as well on smaller wattage bulbs like small desk lamps etc. I add a drop on my desk light ever so often as well to rid the office of the smoke smells.

I love essential oils, much more so than commercial, chemical scents. I have lavender, tea tree, and some florals. I do use a potpourri crock. Electric. I also enjoy warming candles.

I only use my potpourri burner in the winter months to add to the wonderful aroma of woodsmoke that is the main scent in my house thruout the heating season. I use cinammon and pine oil mainly. People that visit (which is rare) take a deep breath when they walk in the door.

I used to have this metal ring that fit over light bulbs. You'd put a few drops of essential oils, and the heat from the bulb would warm the oil. MMMMM. But now I use the low energy bulbs that don't produce much heat, so I put the oils in my vacuum cleaner (I have one with water in the bottom) and instead of smelling dust, I smell my favorite fragrance.
