If my memory serves me correctly, I think I learned to ride a bike around the age of 5 or 6 but I'm sure I was off training wheels by age 7.

I was about 7 or 8 when I learned how to ride a bike, I had training wheels before hand and my mom made sure that I drank lots of milk before getting hurt.

Yes I do. Here in Holland we learn that at the age of 3.

I think I was around 6, I just jumped on and away I went, right into an old metal garbage can and cut my lip! But the next day, I tried again and this time I got it right and have been riding bikes ever since, even excercise bikes, see.....

Thanks for the image. I ran into trash cans once too, but no cuts only bruises. :)

Yes, I miss it too. My husband and I took our kids on a trail ride a couple of years ago in one of those buggies that hook to the back of a bike, but the kids were scared.

Yes, I do know how to ride a bicycle. I can't remember how I learned to ride, but I do remember my grandson learning. He learned when he was five. We all wanted to remove his training wheels, but he said no until he was nine. From the time he was six those training wheels never touched the pavement. He still thought he needed them. He was so funny! Now he rides dirt bikes with his dad. He's fearless!
