Would you help turn in a gunman for free coffee?

shywolf @shywolf (4514) • United States 20 Feb 07

I'm just curious as to what people think about the news story I was just looking at about a coffee stand owner who is offering a year's worth of free coffee to anyone who helps him to locate the robber who pointed a gun at him....

tsmeesa98 I would do it because it would be the right thing to do. The free coffee would be an added bonus. I do agree that I hope that the criminal is caught. There is NO excuse to put other people in danger for any reason.

Would you feel safe in a car that 'drives itself'?

shywolf @shywolf (4514) • United States 20 Feb 07

I was just reading a report that said that cars that 'drive themselves' may well be available and even be commonplace within the next 20 years. US researchers have said that vehicles equipped with GPS positioning and artifical...

tsmeesa98 I wish I could say I would feel safer but the truth is that I wouldn't. Call me a control freak if you will but I can't trust that a computer would always make the right decision. It would be like having a robot baby-sitter. It sounds nice in theory but...

tsmeesa98 I'm on baby #4 so here's what I'll advise you. 1) if you're breastfeeding you can't overfeed. 2) you may want to try a bottle with about 2 oz of juice and 2 oz of water for her to drink after eating some solids. 3) she's still getting most of her nutrition...

tsmeesa98 I don't hate Muslims. The people that do tend to be ignorant of the religion. They watch the extremeists on tv and assume that all Muslims feel the same way. My thought is that all religions are equal. I don't judge people for disagreeing with the way I...

tsmeesa98 Because they are selfish children with no self-control. Enough about that though. Get yourself a lawyer and go after him for alimony and child support. Don't feel bad about doing it either because he made the choice to destroy your marriage not you.

I believe you don't have to go to church to be a christian, while others believe differently. In fact, most people have busy lives and don't have time to go to church. I know some of the most hypacritical people go to church. They...

tsmeesa98 My personal belief is that you will be judged by the life you live not how many times you go to church. I know I have met people who never went to church who have treated me better than people that go to church 2-3 times a week. I don't believe that everyone...

tsmeesa98 For me it depends on what it is. I don't have to buy name brand of much of anything but one example is my kids shoes. I have bought them probably 20-30 total pairs (between 3 of the 4 of them) in various brands. Maybe my kids have funny feet or something but...

tsmeesa98 I have both. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat but I may be getting my daughter a cat for Christmas (my son recently got one for his birthday) so I may wind up with 2 and 2. They are both fun but pretty polar opposites in their needs and behavior.
