I was going through members and came across a really gross avatar...at least it's gross to me. I actually had to close my eyes to add the picture to this discussion b/c it grosses me out that bad. I just hurried up and moved on past the member but it made me wonder if anyone else ever comes across an avatar that really grosses you out and makes you hurry by that member so you don't have to look at it. I included the icky avatar but be forwarned LOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Some ppl probably think it's cool and it may just be me being a girlie but that is one gross avatar LOL So, have you ever run past a gross avatar? Does it upset you or offend you? Do you stay away from that member b/c of the avatar? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I don't think I really notice avatars most of the time unless the person is a close friend, or the avatar is an anime character. So I haven't noticed any that really bothered me so far. If I had seen that picture you have on this discussion as an avatar, I probably wouldn't have even realized what was really in the picture, just that it was brightly colored. I guess I'm just not observant in that way. In fact, my husband once mentioned something about a close friend of mine's avatar that I had never noticed... I didn't realize it moved until he said something, even though I responded to this person all the time. It was after that incident that I decided to make an avatar that moved myself (though mine is just separate pictures, not a real animation).

Yuck, not really the kind of avatar I would chose to be honest, and I admit to being a bit wierd and strange - LOL

Actually I haven't yet run across a gross avatar. A few have been odd but didn't bother me. Ok, I am curious now to see it. I'm relatively new to MyLot so I'll keep my eyes peeled in the future.

The problem is, a perfectly nice person can like a weird image. And a person with a really neat avatar can get rebellious or angry and put in an avatar that reflects what they are feeling. I have had both happen on my friend list. I wish it wouldn't. It does have an emotional impact on me. I do not reject friend requests on that basis, though.

I have seen some really horrid ones, scarey actually, if the avatar is a part of whom you are it makes me wonder what sort of person is behind it...

To be honest it dosnt bother me at all. I really dont pay attention to a persons avatar when respondingto a discussion any way it is all about the discussion to me.

Hey t68, I can't say that I've come across a gross avatar but on another forum I saw a shocking avatar that looked like a cute puppy but then flashed very quickly (like subliminal messaging) kill your parents-that one should be banned from any forum. +'s

Very sick, perhaps it is an indication of a sick mind. Normally avatars do not influence how I feel about the user but this one would definitely put me off and I would not care to have him/her as a friend.

I have seen some really weird avartars too. Yes, they tend to make me want to stay away. I guess that really isn't fair to the person starting the discussion, because I am judging according to their avatar. Bad me!

I dont see anything that wrong with it, I guess that it is just the members way of expressing theirself. We all here have avatars that are a bit of us or they say something about the person that we are. I am not offended by this one by no means I have seen worst ones then this. I was with a site one time that I could not use my dancing piggie becaues she seamed to offened someone so I am no longer with that site. We cant judge others by the avatar that they use. Hugs!

I came across someone with not a gross avatar, but awful pictures within their page. I complained to mylot and they removed them. This is gross but you have to admit the photography is excellent, lol.

I will comment, but I am not curious enough to look. I have come across many on here that made my stomach turn and I am not looking for that experience tonight. I believe that I actually reported one once, because it was just that sick. I learned my lesson about things like that when I was a child.

Oh ew! That is gross! I really don't like that avatar at all. I cringed when I looked at it...my word! X.X I haven't come across and avatar that disturbing, at least not that I remember. If I did maybe I blocked it out...like I'm going to try and do with this one! lol.
