Had both grab=ndsons over Saturday from early morning. they are also spending the night. They went to play outside with some topys then spotted my leaf pile. YIKES!!! Boy did they have a blast. Do your kids/grandkids mess up your neatly raked and piled leaves? Do you care? I love reraking them becuase their faces as they toss them in the air is almost priceless. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

WHAT?? You mean there are other reasons for raking leaves other than jumping in the piles? hmmmmmm...I usually don't rake them unless it's to pile em up in my flower beds or to enjoy jumping and tossing them around. Oh yeah...and to stuff them in those pumkin-shaped garbage bags for deco. lol

I envy you!You have trees with leaves in your yard and we dont, hehe. We only have spruce and pine trees around and behind our house.I would love to have leaves falling on my lawn to rake them up and have my daughter jump in the big colorful pile, but i dont.sigh.I did this as a child and it was my favorite thing to do in the fall.My grandfather use to rake them and leave a pile for me to jump in.WHEEEEE!:)Children cannot resist a leaf pile, haha.

Yes that is a priceless moment. You could try having them help you pick them up by making a scare crow with them. Now that would be another priceless memory and fun too!

I remember doing this as a child when we lived in the country. My brother and I would rake the leaves up and then we would destroy all of our work! My parents never could understand it. When we used to live in the country, my daughter and I would rake together and she would do the same. It's kind of hard being an only child but I taught her how to have fun like that lol! Then we would rerake the leaves and bag them. Those are good memories. Thanks for sharing yours with us!

I will not bother them playing with all my piled leaves, because their enjoyment is my happiness and the most for me. And I can ask them to clean up all that mess up stuffs and I believe they like to do that fun way. OK Grandpa Bob, convey my best regards to The Great Hunter.

One of my favorite pictures of my son is when he was two years old. His baby sister was not born yet, but was due anytime. His dad had raked up a big pile of leaves and we all played in them. I was very huge, very pregnant, and I was buried in the leaves. It was a lot of good, cheap fun.

Sounds like a fun time! I wouldn't care if they messed up a neatly raked leaf pile either as they have so much fun jumping in and scattering the leaves - you are right it is worth it all! xxx
