I'm playing catch up

I've noticed today, in trying to catch up to discussions posted within the last week, that several I tried to respond to have been deleted. One was about a very cute diet where you eat candy and ice cream to release stress. It was hilarious. What was wrong with that? It wasn't a real diet...it was certainly something I could relate too! LOL. There was another discussion about how a single mom used positive ideas to motivate her kids to get ready for school without her having to yell all morning. It was great and I tried to respond and found it was deleted. I guess I need to read the guidelines once again. I can't for the life of me see why these two were removed, and I know there were a couple more!

I have found that happening too..please take time to let mylot know..they mentioned they are trying to keep an eye on it to me..and we should let them know. I think it's awful that things are happening like this..but it is..and I found it has happened to me overnight.. I have a feeling I know who it is; but I wont point any fingers.

I have come across this as well. I, myself have posted something that was very mundane and was pretty funny yet inspirational. I didn't see how it was offensive or out of the guidelines, but apparently it was and was deleted.

I have been way to busy lately to find time to come to myLot. I took a few minutes tonight to peruse the recent discussions. I believe to be safe I am going to only respond to those that have 'stood the test of time' so to speak! I am answering older quesitons in my inbox. It amazes me what gets deleted and what is allowed to stay.

I noticed a few deletions and I doubt they were all about guidelines. I suspect that someone uses the report instead of the negative link and that myLot automatically deletes those that are reported. As for not following guidelines, I know that there is a copy right violation against copying and pasting something for your own and I suspect that might also be a reason. They really should not copy an article. Many of the writers or contributors have lawyers and if they do not, well the company they work for has, and these lawyers can be very greedy.

playing catch up here also - I'm months behind with mylot discussions - I've seen many have been deleted before I have had a chance to respond - guess to my benifit as I didn't lose the earnings or waste the time. Agree with what others said though - forwarded letters are still the property of the original writer and myLot is against copy and pasting such things without giving credit to the original author.

The one about the diet was a forwarded e-mail that someone wanted to share. I agree, no harm in it, but myLot does not want that, evidently. I had seen the e-mail before. The other one might have been in the same category. Last week we had massive deletions. I could see why some of them were violations, but not all of them. In a two hour time frame I found eight of my friends' discussions deleted, and that is awful. We all need to read and I guess reread the guidelines.

I have noticed the same thing. Sadly the integrity of this site has fallen drastically. I believe it lies with the moderators being delete happy and has nothing to do with the guidelines. It seems that no-one in the upper administration cares enough to supervise these unnecessary deletions.

I know how you feel, esterlou. When I finally came back here and going thru all the discussions, I was starting to get pissed at mylot for the deletions of discussions that I also couldn't fantom why they were deleted. Guidelines, shmidlines..:p on mylot.

It appears that a lot of discussions have been deleted lately for no apparent reason. Not sure why, because I don't think the one's that I am aware of were against any guidelines.

Hi estherlou! I am palying catching up too. Haha..And just like you, I have seen several discussions deleted and they were just about love. I think it is because they might just have copy and pasted the topic and pass it on as their own and I think that is a violation. But I am not really sure, I have to go back and read the guidelines again. haha..Take care and have a nice day.
