Mosqiutoes are a big problem here.We use mat, coils ,liquid, etc to repell them. But the best repellent is the mosquito net.Sometimes some sort of cream are also used. But the interesting fact is that the main component used in all the repellents is the same-allethrin.Are mosquitoes a problem in your area if yes how do you keep them away.

During warm rainy season mosquitoes are quite the problem. We are urged not to let water stand in our lawns in containers. We encourage bird populations to eat the mosquitoes. There are a great many mosquito repellents, but I do not like to wear them. We will burn smoky wood in our chiminea, especially cedar, and we grow plants that are citrusy, like lemon balm. We use oil lamps with citronella oil. It is hard to be outside at dawn and dusk. It is especially a concern because of West Nile Virus and other diseases transmitted by them.
