Move over YouTube, there's a new site on the net. It is a religious social networking site where like-minded people can do all of the things they are doing on other social networking sites. They just have to keep in mind that it is religion-based. Some people have already voiced concern that it will threaten church attendance by the faithful. What do you think?

I think if people are "faithful" they will attend church. If they are scriptural, they will attend church or fellowship, because the Bible says not to forsake the gathering together of one another. I personally do not do youtube, and I will not be doing Godtube either. It just is not something that interests me.

Boy, I sounded grouch and sanctimonious, didn't I. That is what I get for posting when I am tired. If I explained better, I would have said that those who are faithful will attend church, even if they watch Godtube, just like people who watch religious or faith based TV. I just am too attention deprived to watch videos, I am sure they are great for people who like video. They take bets at my house on how long I will watch before I get up and leave or go to sleep. Sorry if I sounded so stuffy. I usually just skip the video links.

Of course you are as entitled to your opinion as the next person, GG, but my reason for posting this discussion was aimed at people who might find such a site to be of interest. I am not trying to promote any religious belief here.

If it is anything like Joel Osteen's program, I am all for it. He makes religion and God fun, interesting, and meaningful for everyday living. I don't need any preaching, just some positively-good vibrations and uplifting talk to help me reach for the skies. I might check out this site in the future, thanks. Attending church does not make one religious. Thoughts, beliefs, and actions do.

I wholeheartedly agree with that, sigma. I do consider myself religious although I do not have an affiliation with any church at this time. I derive enjoyment from different religious venues, and thought this site might appeal to some others.

I have just visited the site and feel it would quite interesting for the like minded ppl. Having said this it may well arouse conflicts as such things have always invited.

In my opinion, mimpi, people who are anti-religion are narrow-minded. I would no more hold it against a person if they choose to have a religion than I would someone who is not a believer.

Wow! This is a good site! I am sure I am gonna visit this. I hope nobody will spoil this site. I don't it will affect the church attendance. Nothing compares to the feeling of solemnity when inside the church. This will help Christians to enhance their faith.

I agree with you, jhanna. A good site such as this could actually work to enhance one's faith. Let's hope that people will not abuse it.
