This attatched photo is of some of the sprigs of my outdoor Lavendar that I've grown this year. the aroma is just wonderful. My house stunk of chicken as the wife made some home made chicken noodle soup. Not that it's a bad smell but I went outside to pick some of my Lavendar & placed it in a vase setting it in my living room right next to my front door. Now the whole house smells of the wonerful aroma of Lavendar. Next year I may try to crush the blloms just as the flowers fall off to make a few drops of oil for my potpourri burner. Do you place fresh cut flowers and or herbs in your house for the fresh araoma? Is it home grown or store bought? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

You are so lucky because I love the smell of lavendar but my husband doesn't like it. Sometimes I will buy a candle with a lavendar sent and he always tells me that it stinks. When I was a kid we had a lilac bush in our yard and we would always pick the flowers and give them to our mom. So our yard and house smelled so good.

I would love to place fresh flowers/herbs in my house for a nice scent; however, strong scents give me migraines. Do you know anything that has a light scent that would be good to use?

The essential oils can be diluted very weak if needed. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDP[A BOB !!~

I love the smell of lilac, but since I can't get any in Florida, I buy oil to burn in my burner. I also buy rose oil to get rid of smells and to calm me down.

I will use oils in my potpouri warmer. I like scented plants, but usually neglect them and they die. I used to add artemesia to dried plant concocotions and rosepetals, etc. Nice green smell. I can always hope to have more success next year. I would love to have a sensory garden along the edge of the sidewalk, so that walkers and runners would brush along different fragrant plants when they pass.

I want to make a small trail with stones lined with various fragrant plants/herbs in my back yard some time as well. From my back porch to the fire pit is where I'd have it. That's maybe a 10 foot walk is all. I'd make it maybe 2 feet wide. Buster woukld go nuts as that's his usual path when he goes outside. I wonder how he'd react to some type of herb smell as he brushed his legs/paws against it. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

As I have a huge Lavender bush, I understand your delight a the sight & smell. What a nice idea to have a bunch of Lavender inside. I should try that. My Lavender bush stands just outside the lounge window & smells beautifully. I have one another smaller Lavender bush that is doing well too. On Kangaroo Island Lavender bushes are one of the few plants that wallabies won't eat. I wrote a comment for your photo.

In my country Malaysia, lavender flowers famously used for aroma therapy bath. If anyone who does not have their bath tub, they will put it in big pail and soak it for one hour before taking bath. I used this method for once in a month and it soothe us, especially we take it before sleep so that it can freshen up our body while sleeping and when awakened, yes it does just like giving us new energy. Even now there are shampoo products used Lavender flowers added on to it.

I buy lavendar essential oil and add it to my bath as well. I am going to make my own oil maybe next year. Well at least a few drops to add to my water in the pot pourri burner or even the bath. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I love to smell things in the garden and I find the smell can waft indoors anyway. I do buy oils and burn them for the aroma. Lavender, gardenia and boronia are favourites.

I buy flowers once in a while to have in the house. For the smell and for the beauty of just having that little bright spot to cheer up the house!
