as a call center agent, are you a fast typer?

i think 35wpm and above is enough... as long as you address every customer's concern and don't scam in every sale you push, thaat's even fair!

i also didnt have any typing lessons in college. never learned Touch typing... tend to just use some of my fingers.. but i can say i am a fast typer. i tried some online typing lessons, and you should try it too.. my current job also requires fast typing, guess itll become natural if you do it more often..

Yes. I type fast we had a typing class in highscool and i scored very well in my typing class i am able to follow the correct position and correct finger point/pressing the correct letters in my keyboard. I have worked in the call center for sometimes and with the daily use of computer, i have already been practiced well with my typing. I type without looking at the keyboard too. :)

it depends on the needs of the account. i did not also take typing lessons but had been using computers for a very long time, that my fingers know the whether to use my right or left fingers. it depends on the account, especially if you need aht to pass your stats. been to customer care, email, sales, chat, collections, etc. in email alone, i use to answer at least 100 emails a day, but since you get already lines that you can copy and past in your format spiel when answering a client. in chat, the same 100 chats a days and had to have 3 chats at the same time with different concerns, i was pasting sometimes a wrong answer to the other one, but still was one of the top chatters. but some accounts just need a regular speed. you can test yourself, we use to have speed test of typing practice online on our computers when systems are done. so, it depends if you really need it.
