Well it has officially begun here in this house..the season for "pass the cold"....Something I personally do NOT care for..My daughter is home sick for the second day with a pretty nasty cold and sure enough I'm starting to get sick...then my son will probably get sick, then me again, then my husband, then me again LOL (why is it the doctor of the house gets sick the most??)...and so on...This lovely game will go on until sometime in Feb/Mar....Time to stock up on cold/flu stuff I suppose.. I've got the kerosene heater goin with at big pot of water on it adn I'm difusing Eucalyptus oil and Peppermint in it and i just started making a huge batch of homemade chicken soup (my daughter requested it yesterday).... Does your family go through this in the winter?

I started taking Emergen-C vitamin supplement a couple months ago and have been able to fight off almost everything that has been going around so far. It's in a packet form so all I have to do is rip it open, dump it in some water and drink it. I'd rather take something like this once a day and boost my immune system than to have to have a cold that drags on for a week or more.

www.emergenc.com You can get them pretty much anywhere. Check the website because they have a LOT of great products! Here is a blurb from their site: "Emergen-C is widely used by athletes and people in all walks of life to provide nutritional support for a great variety of needs, such as starting the day, jogging, weight lifting, general stress, even to help ward off the late afternoon let-down!Emergen C is primarily an anti-oxidant that helps prevent infections, bruising, colds & flu, sinusitis, sore throats, blood clots, arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, physical and mental stress, weak immune system, high cholesterol levels, liver toxicity and collagen formation with added vitamins, minerals and electrolytes."

Yes we do- It usually starts with my daughter as well- She brings the germs home from school. I seem to pick up everything- No matter how many vitamins and how many times we wash our hands- I still get the bug from her. Then I pass it on to my sig. other and it goes round and round. Gotta love it- NOT… I’m constantly cleaning the house and killing germs- to no avail.

Luckily there is only two of us and it doesn't happen like in your house. My immune system seems to be stronger too than my hubby's because he often gets sick and I don't get it from him - luckily. Unless of course it's really bad and then I get nailed too LOL. He does get sick about once each season. More often than not though it's during the summer he gets it more. He's a strange one LOL. I feel for you. Have you tried taking a flu shot? I've never had one and never felt the real need to get one. But I bet you could really benefit from it.

Yup colds will go round and round with my grankids. They will catch it from each other,as well as kids from school. I just got over a cold. Had it almost 2 weeks. The first week I had it. I had to do my weekend at work. Which means I live at my job from Friday afternoon, until Sunday at 6pm. I don't get to go home. Worse part was I forgot to pack my medicine. I had to get cough drops from one of my residents.
