Well after a hectic start to my Sunday I was finally able to relax late in the afternoon. Here I am looking goofy with my Buster. Now I'm wondering as of late if Buster is spoiled rotten or am I? I seem to enjoy rubbing his belly and massaging his legs and ears as much as he does. So do you spoil your pet(s) as much? Do you love it more than the pets(s)? I am at a toss up. But I am leaning towards I'm more spolied as I need it more than he does. Hee hee!!! Thanks. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

You and Buster are good for each other. Petting our pets is supposed to be stress relief. I am not really positive with my cats, as they give me the "Kitty massage" and that can be painful. I know if I have trouble sleeping, if I relax in the recliner with the cat/cats, I can sleep, and rest well. Are they spoiled? Am I spoiled? I like to give them favorite people food treats from time to time. (Princess is weird, she likes beans and salsa, or hash.) I do not think that I love caring for my pets more than they like spending time with me, cause they want it all of the time.

I had a friend whom had a pet black bear cub. It loved rubbing. Think a cats claws are rough on a leg? HAHAHAHA! We would wear leather chaps to feed it his bottle of milk daily. It was sooo cute though. She then put it in a large kennel/stable at her horse ranch for about 8 years till the county made her get rid of it. It's now living at a reserve for abandonded wild animals nort of me. It must be 20 years old or so by now. Last I saw it he was I think 9 or 10. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well AGB I guess you are both a perfect fit for each other and both enjoy it as much as each other! I have a cat called Tia (her middle name is Maria) and I am afraid we don't spoli her very much, mainly cos she only wants stroked or to lie on us when SHE feels like it! Having said that I have already bought her Christmas present and hidden it! xxx

me and whoppie - she always want to be sitting on my lap.
As what you have said Grandpa Bob my dog whoopie is a very spoiled brat dog hehehehehe.... She almost forgot that she has responsibilities to guard my house, we have a two story house and on the second floor is my room that has aircon she always want to be in my room after eating her lunch she always want to go upstairs and take a nap and almost every night. And when I'm here at infront of my computer she always wants to be on my lap. I added a picture of us sitting infront of my computer.

When I had a dog he was soooooo spoiled! Yes.... he was pampered and I did all the wrong things like he got to be on the furniture etc. Trips to the bank where he got doggie treats...and trips to McDonalds drive up where he knew he would be getting a hamburger or some other treat! He was very spoiled! But such a true and good friend he was!

I looked through your discussions today trying to see what your first post might have been. So I skipped forward and forward and forward. Now I found this on page 300 and I'm sure there is still a long way to go, lol. You posted some interesting discussions. As to this one. He does look spoiled, lol. No, we don't have a pet but our neighbors have plenty to share;)

Neither, you have a mutual health agreement to relieve stress. You have stress from things happening in your life and though Buster maynot be able to speak about, he feels it too. You are both benefiting from this. It is not what I would call spoiled.

It's not spoiling, Grandpa Bob. It's called bonding between Dad/son. My dog doesn't like it but my one cat, Tigger, has learned early on that massaging feels really good and we both enjoy our bonding time. That was one of the things I did with him to tame him when he came to me from the wild. He'll jump on the desk or the bed behind me whenever he wants his 'special' mommy time. Takes bout 5 mins. and he's satisfied till the next time.

Pets are a known stress buster! I bet you both get what you need from each other, Buster gets his belly rubs and massages and pets and loving and you get the joy of seeing him so happy! I think we sometimes do love it more than the pets because Miko used to get sick of my loving on him and petting and just look at me like I was nuts and just turn his backside to me hahaha! Now we have a kitten who thinks she's a dog hahaha! She was in an atmosphere with a dog as a constant companion so I think she really thinks she is a dog. She is very entertaining and normally I am not a cat person, but she is growing on me.

Sammy the cat sleeps with my hubby and I. She sleeps betweem our pillows, we have a king bed. I sure do miss cuddling up to Sammy when she is not there. The other night she did not come to bed with us. I got up at 2am to see if she was OK. I missed my cuddling buddy. Your answer is yes I need her as much as she needs me. I also have Abigail who is comic relief. I need her also to make me laugh and to play with. OUr pets are our salvations sometimes. I know when I am with my pets they help me calm down.
