TROY: Hannaford Supermarkets has announced that it is recalling all ground beef products purchased in Hannaford stores with use or freeze by dates of Oct. 11-31. Additionally, the recall extends to Century Farms ground beef products purchased in Hannaford stores with use or freeze by dates of Oct. 11-Nov. 3. Consumers should return products to their local Hannaford for a full refund. The product is part of the Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. voluntary recall of approximately one million pounds of ground beef products that might be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. Consumers with questions should call Cargill's toll free hotline at 877-455-1034. This is just getting out of hand. I use a lot of ground beef at home. And at my job in a retirement home we use ground beef. I beleive my boss gets it from Hannaford as well. I can't believe it. The last time it was Tops frozen beef patties.

You know it's going to reach a point where we're going to hear about food recalls on a daily basis. This is really getting to be too much. Like what the hell is going on? Like you I like using ground beef, and do use fresh ground, but still, it does make one hesitant about eating anything nowadays. Fortunately there aren't any Hannaford Supermarkets here, but that really doesn't matter as tainted food could show up in any store
