Okay I decided to share a photo of my 2 grandsons school p[ictures. My daughter this year volunteered at the school on picturwe day helping kids brush their hair etc getting them somewhat presentable for the photographer. For this she got the full packages for free. Great deal there as they are getting exspensive. We would buy the large package for a few years for our daughter and take the ones we wanted leaving her the rest. Now she decides which photos we get. HAHAHA!! Here's my 2 grandsons. Hunter (l) is 6 years old. Tyler (r) is 9 years old. I hope I got their ages correct. HAHAHA!! Great looking kids or what? Of course I'm biased as they look like my end of the genetic pool. Hee hee. How much do you spend if any on your kids and or grandkids school photos? Ever volunteer at school for any reasons?

Don't you ever take to them like Sears or WalMart when
they have the photographers there? We did that with our
children and the grandchildren till they started school.

When my son was first in grade school, I went and volunteered at the school library. They even let me take my daughter with me. At three years old she was learning to shelve books, no wonder she loves to read. I do not know how much photo packages cost, but it is very smart of your daughter to trade her time for the packages. She also then gets to make sure her boys do not get pictures taken with spaghetti on the face or something like that.

I thought they looked like you.
School photos are expensive. I get the cheapest package every year for my daughter. They don't have volunteer help with ours.
My husband is always having problems getting access to his kids school photos.

Very cute boys!! I wish they had someone to help the kids here...every year my Niece and Nephew end up looking like nuts in their photos...either their hair is messed up, food on their faces, something. This year, my Niece had a patch of hair sticking out on one side and my Nephew had pudding from lunch on his chin. You'd think the teacher or the photographer would do something but nope...now they have to go for re-takes.
My youngest brother did a smart thing during his high school years, right around Thanksgiving or Christmas he'd either go to Walmart and have his done or we had a family friend that did them too. He has a great Senior picture that even included the family dog.

Yeah sometimes the kids look rather ragged. HAHAHA! My daughter
would come hair, make sure their faces etc were clean. Also line
them up orderly etc. She was glad to get a good package of photos
for a change instead of just a few photos.

Hi,yes indeed they are handsome young boys which are going to have the little girls running after them soon if not now, hehe.Next year when our daughter starts school she will have her first pictures(school)taken. But we do take alot now and plan on taking some for christmas which will cost like $25.00 or $30.00 for a package. When i was in school i volunteered to work at the school library at dinner time, never got paid but who cares.I could read all the books i wanted and loved the feeling of working in a school.

That's about the average going proce for a package now days also. Now it seems all school photos in the US are taken by Life Touch studios. I've never seen another company. Is this a monopoly or what? Hmmmm?

We used to buy the full packages but most of the photos wound up in a drawer because we didn't have anyone else to give them to.
It was a waste of money.
What we do now is buy the lowest priced package which is like 12 dollars.
It has like a 5X7 2 3x5's and some wallet size photos something like that.
We have never volunteered at school. It's just not our thing.
What we will do instead of volunteer is donate soda/snacks or paper goods for class parties but I think every parent is required to do that anyway.
That is our contribution.

Wish I had a recent school pic to share here but I never got around to having her spring pic scanned to my puter. I only buy the class picture when they take them in the fall. I prefer the spring pics instead being they have different country backgrounds instead of the plain backgrounds. I've included one of my daughter's spring pictures from school.

Very cute. I added a comment and rated the photo also. Now does
Life Touch Studios have a monopoly on school photos? I've yet to
see any other company in thr States do school photos. Hmmmmm? I love the varied backgrounds from the store studios and schools as well.

Your grandsons are very handsome, they do look like you. Did you ever compare your school picture with theirs?
I never got the chance to work at the school. My son's last school pictures were $35.00. He is a junior in high school. I hear that the senior pictures are very expensive, but I will get them anyway.
