What's your preference and why? We live in a big city so we are use to the noise and traffic. It's the only life we have ever known.

Definitely small town, carol. I prefer to be with peole whom I'm familiar at, which I know more than be in a big city and be surrounded by anonymous folks!;) I feel comfortable living in a town, where I don't feel pressured and where I can enjoy a peace of mind!;)

But I do live in aplce where it is seems to be catching up with modernization, I think it's half a town and half a city!;) Infact, our mayor is already pushing our town into cityhood, since there are more commercial establishments and factory buildings available. I do miss the fdays where I feel that I am close with nature, where butterflies and wild birds are visible.

I prefer small town because it is quiet. 3 years ago i move here because of married. Before that i live in a big city, my own country in Jakarta - Indonesia. I think you know Jakarta. A lot of traffic jam in Jakarta :) Compare with i live now, is very different. Takes me couple months to get use to it live in here :)

I live in a small town with only about fifty thousand people. I am used to this kind of life in a small towm as I love the nice environment here with so much green bamboo all over the county. I also love the life in a big city as there is always so much to see and enjoy.

I live out in the country but I would have to say I am more of a small town girl. Although I have never lived in a big city. I don't think I could ever get use to all the noise and not knowing most of the people that lived there. Small town life is very quiet - filled with friendly surroundings because you recognize just about everyone. I'm sure if I had lived in a big city all my life, it would be hard to get use to the quiet small town.

I use to live in a big city and now I live in a small town two hours outside the city. At first I thought it was too quiet and I didn't really like it much. I got use to that and now I don't mind living in a small town. I sometimes get bored and miss the city life. I usually head to the city then and it helps. Right now I like the small town atmosphere but I would like to be closer to a big city.

Guess it would be hard to find a place that has the relaxed atmosphere of a small town and place it in a big city! Might be an ideal situation.

If I had to chose between a big city or a small town then the small town would win. I actually prefer living out in the country. I prefer wide open spaces, trees/woods and loads of places to walk the pooch. I don't like the noise and the pollution of big cities. Small towns are a lot quieter, less people and not as dirty.

Small town life always looks so relaxing. I agree with your comment about pollution. I'll never know about small town life because all we know and like is big city living.
