I love flowers. Some of my favorites are orchids and lilies. They are just so beautiful. Orchids are very hard to come by where I live and don't tend to grow well here, but the lilies do. I have a few variety of lily in my garden.

I also have a lot of Phloxx as a ground cover around my
front deck. They bllom from May till about late August
or later here in Minnesota. Here's a shot of one of my Phloxx.
I have 6 clusters total around the deck.

I like flowers. They are pretty and often smell really nice.
I love to see how they dot fields and parks. I love to see them in nice neat flower pots, or vases etc.
Water lilies are really pretty. They would be my second choice.
My favorite flower, however, is the orchid. It has been my favorite flower for many years.

Well I of course love Asiatic Lilies and all other Lilies for that matter. Here's a photo of one of mine from this past Springs blooms. I have about 50 or more different lilies planted throughout my yard.

That is beautiful. I'm considering putting in some of these lilies. Its really a great way to start the new year with flowers. This year, my plants bloomed more than the year before, which was nice. I need to take more pictures. Thanks for the reply.

Last year I had a container pond that I put a "tiger lotus" in. It was nearly the end of September before it first set out a blossom and when it did it was very beautiful. But then it started to get too cold for the plant so I put it in my 55 gallon aquarium and kept the top opened so that the flower could stay out of the water. A few weeks later it sent out another blossom that opened on my girlfriends birthday. Of course she was thrilled about this. Unfortunately the plant was too large for the 55 gallon tank so I gave it to someone who had a much larger aquarium that could keep it and he also has ponds that he was going to put it in during the warmer months to grow. I will try to grow some dwarf lotus this coming year to grow in my container ponds.

My favorite flower is rose because to me it symbolizes love. Giving it away is a discreet way of expressing one's feelings to a loved one. Another flower that i also like are orchids. I actually bought some plant of it so i can try having it in my own mini-garden.

Thank you for mentioning a flower I have never hear of before now Sampaguita. I love white flowers and the pictures I found are breathe taking. I'm sure it wouldn't survive in my normally mild climate. Its 58 degrees now.

My favorite flowers are sunflowers. I love to see flowers in nature, but I don't like them to be cut and put in a bouquet. I am the strangest woman in the world that way, I think!

I love lillies, too! I love alstromeria lillies to have in my home because they last forever. I always used to bring them home when I worked in a floral shop. I really enjoy wild lillies and stargazers, but I think any lily makes me happy!

I love flowers too. Rose, Lilies and Phlox are my favorite.
