What's on your needles right now? I have a vest going - I've tried several times to make one that I really like. This time I'm following a pattern, sort of, but making my own adjustments as I go. After that, I intend to knit another pair of socks. What about you?

You have a lot of projects going! I can't do that because when I work on one, I feel guilty for not working on the other. :)

The jacket, hat, and gloves are christmas presents that I am trying to finish on time. I keep each in a seperate place, so that, depending on where in the house I am, I have a project to work on. The cardigan is for me and i can finish it whenever. I'm mainly making it because I am always making things for others, and would like to wear something I made at least once in a while.

You sound busy! I can imagine such delicate work on the saree. I don't have the patience for beads and sequins, but it sounds beautiful.

Right now, I have a hat going. And an argyle sweater. And a baby bootie. I think of it as multi-tasking.

I've done that, too! :) especially when I start something that's hard to do or time consuming, I'll do something easy in between times.

I've only been knitting for a month, I thought myself through Knitinghelp.com and am currently knitting a scarf for my comunity service project. I love how I can help while doing something I like and watching tv at the same time. Multitasking and getting multiple things out of knitting is a huge plus!

It sounds like you're doing very well for knitting only a month! I don't think I could have watched TV (or anything else) for quite awhile after learning. I'm glad you learned it. :)

I used to knit alot but for the last 10 years, I have not had a knitting needle in my hand. I was just thinking a few days ago that I wanted to start knitting again. I even went as far as to gather up my needles.

Let us know if you decide to get back into it. I had a spell when I didn't knit but it was because I had problems with my shoulders and couldn't.

Yes, that's cool, on both counts. It's nice to do something you enjoy and get paid for it. :)

Mostly hats at the moment, some socks. I really must get on with Christmas presents soon though or I'll be really behind.

I have knitted in the past but never felt comfortable enough with it to finish a project. However, yesterday, I went onto the craft yarn council of america's website and re-learned how, and now I am so psyched about it! I originally wanted to make a tea cozy...but now I am thinking bigger! Like, an afghan! I have mastered knitting...well, one stitch and I don't know how to purl, so I was thinking I could make big patches and join them into a blanket-type thing. Does that make sense? I have this beautiful pink and nice black yarn.

I have recently become obsessed with crochet. I have been buying way too much yarn! I dye textiles so I made some scarves to sell this past winter at holiday markets and I went completely overboard buying yarn. I decided to knit a few just for a change and found I couldn't even remember how to cast on. Didn't have time to look it up so I stuck to crochet. I have some great new books though so I'll have to figure it out again.
