Well the physical therapist is here and she is working dad to the bone. I am geting winded just watching him do the exercises. He seems to have taken well to this woman as well. Now I am going to have to exercise with him as well in the future. Ugghh! HAHAHAHA! He is worn out right now and taking a rest of sorts. She had him going from room to room in the house doing different things for strength building and for balance as well. I am glad he likes her. So for today anyhow he does. We shall see in a weeks time if his feelings are the same for the workoputs. HAHAHA! Thanks all. for your thoughts prayers and caring and kind words all the past few months in issues dealing with my father. We love ya'all. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

The workout will help him mentally as well as physically. It will bring back some self-confidence that he needs. You better not let him out do you if you exercise with him. I would think that this could be quite embarassing.

I think I missed a discussion or two regarding your Dad, when things were happening here yesterday. Never mind, I am pleased to hear that your Dad is exercising with the physio. It is important that he have a good relationship with this person, as it is far more likely your dad will want to cooperate. It won't hurt you having to do these execises... maybe I should be doing them. Is your Dad happy at home?

Wooooohoooooo! Glad to hear dad is getting a workout finally. Always said he needs to get up and do some walking other than just one room to another and back. I have a feeling the walking will increase as time goes by as well.

I am just glad to see that he is trying to work with the therapist. It does help when you like the person you have to work with. So, maybe this is what he needs. I just hope he continues to like her hahha!

He had quit his last seesions a year ago due to the girl going on vacation then a man substituted and worked him harder than she did and didn't chat with him. At home will be better as well as far as conversation. He is more comfortable not having to go anywhere. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I can understand how you would be bored without having pleasant conversation when having to do that kind of therapy. I hope this lady works out though, it sounds like he really does like her so far, so that is a plus!

A couple of years ago my mother had an accident and when she came home from the rehab she was in she had a pt come to her also and boy do they give them a workout. In the beginning it was hard for me to watch because my mother is so frail and had a hard time doing everything the pt wanted her to do but eventually she got with it and came out of it with flying colors. I'm sure your Dad will still like his pt after a few weeks have gone by...after all she's helping him get back to his old self right?

It sounds like your dad responds better to this routine because it is functional to him. He can relate to how it will make his life better and make him fit in in the house. I think the same workouts would probably be good for you, and me, too. The rests afterwards would be terrific. Having p/t come to your house is a great idea, saves gas and your energy as well.

Actually I left a remark ( I think yesterday ) on your dads picture. I remarked I thought he looked as though he had lost some weight. I hope I'm right, but at any rate he looked very good. Thanks for sharing all your photos.

Good for dad.....in a short while he'll be running around you......and you'll be trying to catch up to him. It does help if he likes her....he'll be more responsive to what she demands from him!

She won't be back though. he is getting a male therapist next time I guess. Oh well. He hates men in this position. He quit PT a year ago when he got switched from a female to male therapist. HAHAHAHA! He will never run circles around me. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!`

HellO! Poor dad! must have been burnt out from all those exercises..*wehehe*. Well, it's for his own good anyway! Well done dad! One plus is that he likes his therapist which makes every therapy session easy and less hassle. And for sure he'll be back into a good shape fairly soon. Take care *smile* ciao! c",)
