When you do you put yours up? Are you one of those people that have it up by first snowfall, by thanksgiving or a last minuter and put it up a weekend before christmas? it has always been a tradition with my mother to have it up the day after thanksgivning. and i have been trying to do so every year as well... i have been procrastniatuong these last couple of years. But i have dug out the christmas decorations and hav sorted throught the ornaments and have all intentions on purchasing our tree and having it up the weekend after thanksgiving. what about you ??? when do you set up your christmas tree??

We usually put up the tree 2-3 weeks befor christmas. I get a real one so it can only be in the house a couple weeks. We go as a family and pick out aor tree at a tree farm and cut the one we want. Im going to go for a big one this year. I have more space in my new house so I want the biggest I can get! LOL

thats a nice little tradition. we too usually go for the biggest we can get but this year we moved to a tiny little rental and there is barely any room for us to live never mind a giant tree so we will have to settle for a smaller one.

Before I got 3 cats, I used to put my christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving. And, I didn't take it down until after January 1. I love Christmas and all the decorations. Now that I have 3 cats, I cannot have a christmas tree inside. I am thinking about putting on on the front porch and putting outdoor lights on it and a few sturdy ornaments.

oh thats terrible. im sorry to hear that.. we dont have nay cats we did once and it wasnt a big problem with the tree except for the balls. so we went and purchased pretty plastic ones instead so that they wouldnt smash when they hit the floor

When the kids were younger, and before my husband passed away. We would put the tree up a week after Thanksgiving. Now that I live alone. I will put my little charlie Brown tree up about 2 weeks before christmas, as well as my christmas village. Not really into to many decorations anymore. I don't get a lot of company as I work a lot. And I take everything down , a week after christmas.

Growing up we always did it right after Thanksgiving. My oldest daughter's birthday is in the beginning of December so it kind of became a tradition to put it up as part of her birthday or right after. This year I'm not sure when it will happen. S/o's parents are supposed to leave sometime in December but I haven't heard anything about it in a few weeks. She usually puts hers up whenever she gets a chance and it comes down the very day after Christmas at the latest. I'm really hoping we get to do our own tree this year. I like to leave my tree up until New Year's day...plus I have different taste in ornaments and really miss mine.

My dad would buy one in the begining of the december and I am sure he will pick up the highest one they have, like every year. But I think this time they want cut one from our yard we had, because it got pretty big. Be would put it to the garage and put it insede maybe 2-3 days before the 24-th. And we would decorate it with my brother. But this Christmas I would be in usa so I see how it all will be this year.

I put up my Christmas tree the first weekend in December. Any earlier than that and I get so use to seeing it that it isn't special anymore. I want to make it keep it's Christmas spirit. I take my tree down after the new year.

when I was still in the Philippines, our Christmas tree is already up as early as October but right now we will have ours here after the Thanksgiving. Hubby said that's the time when people here usually put up their Christmas decorations.

Until now I don't know when to put up our christmas tree. My aunt is busy and so does uncle. I had just enrolled my 2nd sem so I am always in school. The only thing that shows christmas in our house was the christmas light hanging on the gate. That is the only thing. But I believe, it is not the christmas tree that will put worths to the celebration of the coming of our savior, its the relationships and faith though it will somehow add colors and excitement.....

Our chrismas tree gets put up on the first of december! It kinda sucks because it's right before my birthday but it's still fun. We cant wait for the snow fall because I live in Australia where it doesn't snow, it's nice and hot around christmas time!

We usually put our christmas tree up on or around the 6th of December. And it comes down no later than 6th January. (little christmas). I prefer putting it up rather than takin it down!!! :-)
