CHICKENpox - Chicken pox is spread easily to others by direct person-to-person contact, by droplet or airborne spread of discharges from an infected person's nose and throat or indirectly by contact with articles freshly soiled by discharges from the infected person's lesions. The scabs themselves are not considered infectious.

Hi ajesh, If you have had your chicken pox vaccinated injection on your neonatal period, you no need to worry, ajesh. And I got this disease when I was 12 years old. And my grandpa asked me to drink coconut milk on that particular peroid to fasten the healing process to it. Chicken pox is spread easily to others by direct person-to-person contact, by droplet or airborne spread of discharges from an infected person's nose and throat or indirectly by contact with articles freshly soiled by discharges from the infected person's lesions. The scabs themselves are not considered infectious. Initial symptoms include sudden onset of mild fever and feeling tired and weak. These are soon followed by an itchy blister-like rash which appear in 3 or more successive waves. The blisters tend to be more common on covered than on exposed parts of the body. They may appear on the scalp, armpits, trunk and even on the eyelids and in the mouth. The blisters eventually dry, crust over and form scabs by 2-3 weeks from the onset of disease HAPPY DAPPY.

I had the chicken pox when I was eight years old. I remember going on a field trip at school to the movies. Before I went I had started to develop red spots on my arms like someone took a ball point red marker and dotted my skin with tiny dots. That was the first sign for me that I had chicken pox. It is contagious so if you haven't had it stay away from them.

I had chicken pox as a child and my husband and son had it around 2.5 years back. Once you get it, you are usually immune to it for life. You can check out for the symptoms on the net...similar to what you have mentioned. But if you haven't got it so far and are scared...then you can get a vaccination against chicken pox which is now avilable. I think adults will get 2 shots within a span of a couple of months. You can check that with your doctor. In case you have got it from your friends, there's nothing to worry.Just make sure you don't scratch when you itch...and you'll be out of it in a few days. There are a few rememdies to soothe the itching...and the best is neem leaves.

I got chicken pox when I was a school kid. Since it was such a long time ago, I don't remember much about it except that I did not suffer much. I did not have to go to school, of course, and that was the best thing about it. I did not have any fever or weakness. I only had a lot of watery boils all over my body. My grandmother bathed me with hot water mixed with neem leaves to get rid of the scars once they began healing. It was a good time, actually.

Mild fever. The fever varies between 101º F to 105º F and returns to normal when the blisters have disappeared. Backache Headache Sore throat Before the typical rash appears, patients often develop a fever, headache, swollen glands and other flu like symptoms. A rash (red spots) Blisters filled with fluid The incubation period of chickenpox is between 10 and 20 days. Skin vesicles contain the virus but are not the primary sources. Scabs are not infectious. Patients are contagious from 2 days before onset of the rash until all lesions have crusted. I hope you don't have it, but these are what to look for.

i think its better if you contracted it when you were a kid because its easier for the scar to go away... if you contract it now that your an adult, just be careful, you must stay at home until the scar heals and then when it almost healed i think you should take a bath in the beach, salinity helps cure the scar... that's what my mom did to us when we were kids and had chicken pox.

Chicken pox are part of the herpy family. You have already been given the symptoms so I won't give them again. the pox are very itchy so if yoou think you have been exposed get some Aveeno lotion for the itch also Aveeno bath oatmesl or something simular because the postiuls are going to really itch and you don't want oo scratch them because scratching them can cause them to become infected. remeber NOT to take asperin as it can cause brain damage when taken at this time.

Spinal pain is not usually listed as a symptom of chickenpox, when our children get it. Usually there is a rash, that starts on your torso, under your clothes. An old fashioned way to check the rash is by taking a hot bath, if it spreads while you are taking a hot bath it is probably chicken pox. Heat/fever, makes the rash show up. I do not know how contagious it is if only airborne. My kids got it from touching someone with chickenpox. A big health warning is for people with chickenpox or the flu not to take aspirin or aspirin containing products for the fever, take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for the fever if you need to. Aspirin has triggered a neurological syndrome called Reye's syndrome in young people who have these two things and take aspirin. If you break out in a rash, use topical benadryl or calamine lotion on the open sores to help the itch and dry them up. See your doctor.

yup chicken pox is a communicative disorder which is caused by virus. it may start with high grade fever and rashes on the body, rashes later become pustules and leave marks later permanent. however chicken pax is now rare as it is being eradicated by vaccination and highly active medication. some time s person may loss their eyesight also if not taken care on time it may effect alot or cause problems so take proper treatment on time

Chicken pox is no joking matter as an adult. I got it when I was in my late 20's and believe me. I was no happy camper. There are many symptoms, such as flu/cold symptoms, a mild fever, swollen glands in your neck, then after the incubation period, you will begin to break out with little red bumps, your fever will increase, you will feel a lot of body aches, intense itching from the bumps but please don't scratch!!!! This will cause scarring. I have many scars on my scalp. When I got it, I had it down my throat, between my toes, on my scalp, everywehre on your body you can think of. If you have been around the chicken pox and you haven't had it yet, please keep a close watch on your symptoms and prepare yourself by purchasing ibuprofen, cold and flu relief products and lots of calamine lotion for the itching.
