What happened to the stuffing????

Last night after dinner, my husband put all the food away for me. I was too busy talking to everyone and drinking about a whole bottle of wine by myself... He was going to throw out the broccoli because there was tons left and I did overcook it a bit. I told him to leave that because I knew I'd eat it this weekend. I was actually kinda amazed that there wasn't a whole lot of leftovers other than turkey and ham. Well, all day today I was really hungry for some stuffing with gravy on it. My stuffing is really the only stuffing I like and I haven't made it in years. But today I didn't see it in the fridge... I know there wasn't a lot left, so I guess my one son ate it late last night. But I sure was looking forward to it. I ate some ham instead - oh, and the rest of the broccoli!

*twilight zone theme song* Where did the stuffing go? hehe I sure hope your son ate it, and it didnt get eaten by someone else! Now that would be weird! I put everything up last night, I had to clean out the fridge for all the containers to fit. Hubby makes fun of me for keeping old butter tubs and stuff, but they come in handy! Just takes some time to open the right one! lol Bay Lay Gray xx

Oh that's so funny! I was openning EVERYTHING to find the stuffing. Some things I opened twice to make sure I didn't miss it. I'll ask my husband when he calls me later tonight, he might have taken it with him too...

We actually didn't have much left-overs either. A little bit of turkey, that's it. My kids asked me to make more green bean casserole. So there I was in the kitchen today (the day after Thanksgiving) cooking all over again. Ah but it's good to be appreciated. Oh yeah, there was a slice of pumpkin pie left.

We mostly had turkey and ham, very little of anything else. I was so looking forward to the stuffing though... Oh well, there's always next year!!!

I ate a lot of corn dip today. It was a new recipe I tried for this gathering, and I really liked it, as well as everyone else. I was also glad to see a goodly amount of green bean casserole. I got to have it today. Oh, and my sister made tabbouleh. I really enjoyed it, and she took lots of pain with all of the chopped veggies.

Cool, you had a lot of "different" stuff. I did just the basics. That's what we had when I was growing up and I missed it so that's what I did for everyone this year. Nice and simple!

I hate that...sometimes I get a taste for something thinking I have it in the fridge only to realize it's gone.

I'm STILL hungry for it. So what do I do? I eat EVERYTHING else in the house... I might just have to make up a small batch for me...

I know blueunicorn! Sometimes when I need chocolate I try to eat something "healthy" instead and I end up eating everything... Just to avoid the chocolate. It's better to just satisfy the craving...

I think it's sounding like you need to make some more stuffing, reiny! If you are anything like me you are going to keep eating everything in the house until you get what you are looking for. It's much easier to just break down and make the stuffing!

Yeah, that always happens, the one thing you are looking forward to eating again is always gone. But then that should make you feel good. It must have been very tasty for you not to have much left over. So next time make a little bit more and put that away just for yourself. When I got home from the mall(mad house)I was ready for some leftovers but when I looked all I could find was turkey and very little ham. I am going to make some turkey salad for sandwiches then I guess I'll be making turkey soup sooner than I had planed. This should get us through the weekend, I hope.

Oh, you braved the malls??? Way more guts than me!!! It is reassuring that everyone liked it, so I guess that is a good thing... I think I've eaten as much today as I did yesterday - but I got a nap in today :)

I hate it when that happens. I am sometimes looking forward to some leftover just to find out that my son decided to eat it when I was not looking. I always end up making extra of everything on Thanksgiving just for that reason.

Well, I just talked to my husband and he took it with him hunting. He said it's his snack for tomorrow. So much for me thinking it was MY snack today :)

He better have eaten it, or bring it home with him tomorrow! I'll have to ask him if he ate it, I forgot when I talked to him earlier...

I hate it when that happens, reiny! Every once in awhile I will cook a dinner that I just know I am going to want to eat the left overs from for lunch the next day. I have to specifically tell my husband not to eat it or it will inevitably disappear before I have a chance to eat. I wish I could cook like that all the time, then it wouldn't be a problem!

We put post-it notes on food that we don't want my son to eat. It's not often, but if I make something that I really want. I just didn't expect my stuffing to be gone so quickly!!!

Post-Its are a great idea to mark the food. Fortunately right now it is just my husband and I that get in the fridge so it's not a big deal yet. Just a couple more years, though!
