Today is traditionally a shopping day for most to pick up great sales and good deals and getting a head start on Christmas shopping. If you didn't go shopping today, what DID you do?
I spent the morning with my husband looking for a new travel trailer. We are looking to trade in our toy hauler for something with more living space. I think we found something, just have to wait until Monday until our salesman is back. He took a long weekend off! Then we spent the afternoon watching the LSU football game. Geaux Tigers!!

I have never been one of those to go racing out the day after Thanksgiving to do start Christmas shopping, and the idea that stores open as early as 4 in the morning sounds dumb to me, yet people will actually shop that early.
No today I just puttered around and tried to catch up on all my computer work I didn't do yesterday

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, here in the UK we do not celebrate Thanksgiving, but have sent my regards and wishes to all my American friends, brothers and sisters (adopted from Mylot!) my best, so yesterday was a normal day for me.

Today is my daughter's birthday. She and her husband and baby, and my son and his family, and my husband and I were at my brother's house. We continued eating, played games, visited, watched videos. My sister was there also. We sorted through pictures from my mom's stuff, trying to identify the unknown in all the pics. We drove four hours home tonight.

I told my kids that since THEY were going to go shopping, that I wouldn't have to go. I decided that since there were just a couple of sale items I wanted, that they could pick them up for me and I could wait and do my shopping on a day when the stores were less crowded. While they were out fighting the traffic and the crowded stores, I stayed home and puttered around the house. I planned to just kick back and relax, but you know how it goes... There is always housework that needs to be done, so I guess that kicking back and doing nothing is not too likely to happen.

I worked this morning and spent the rest of the day and now evening with my granddaughter. I forgot to put aside some money for shopping so that was out!

I usually avoid the stores on this day but without thinking, i had promised my daughter a new shirt. I had only 20.00 to spare and while dreading the crowds...a promise is a promise. I am glad we ventured out. We went to her favorite store which is normally quite expensive and with luck she might find a shirt in our price range on sale. The sale was so great that she got 3 shirts and was tripally happy. After that, I had to go to work. I am not ready for xmas shopping just yet.

I refused to shop today. I went to get some bloodwork down this morning and of course I messed it up. I didn't read the paperwork and took my medications and it was a fasting test. So I had to reschedule for Monday. I came home, ate turkey sandwiches for lunch, went for a walk with my friend for a while around my neighborhood and then we came home and she left. I took a very long nap, ate a taco salad for dinner, talked on the phone with a friend, took my quiz for my college course online and here I am!
