Another Hurricane Season... Another example of Global Warming

Chicken Littles making fools of themselves. Ever since Hurricane Katrina, prophets of disaster have been falling over themselves predicting how much worse the next hurricane season is going to be. So far Sir Hurricane has mocked them.

Florida Beach - Sunny Florida beach
I don't think they will get worse. There is always someone who thinks the sky is falling. Or that "The end is Near"So far we haven't had any bad weather in Florida in the past few years. Some people are still waiting for FEMA to send them repair money from the damages caused by Charley, Jenna and Ivan back in 2004. I sure hope they are wrong and it will be years before we see another hurricane

That's the beauty of their position. There will be a worse hurricane season someday. No matter how many years they are wrong, the one time they are right they will say, "See, this is the season we warned you about". ;~D

Hurricane Ivan was less than three years ago. I'm not saying that Ivan is evidence of global warming, but it isn't exactly true that Florida hasn't had bad weather in the past few years.

Oops, I meant Ivan was only a little more than three years ago.

don't speak too soon. here in south africa, a country with little to none natural disasters ever, have experienced hell the past year. the coast is ruined due to rising waters. its raining right through summer in places that only get winter rain. another example is saudi arabia. my sister lives there. it rained for 2 weeks straight through. its a desert...

Oh yea, I'd say Mother Nature wins out 100% in this case. Just goes to show what educated guesses really amount to--someone's opinion!! Only thing is they get paid mega bucks for it! I bet this really pisses off meteorologists!!

Yup, when it comes to weapons of mass destruction, we are mere amatures in the shadow of the master, Mother Nature.

Disaster management and salvage army troops to be perfect and be informed immediate after satellite maps. Even in last minute hurries compelled evacuation must to take place in populated areas after sealing properties. Eventhough full measures taken the demolishes nobody will stop the natures' fury. Supplement materials can be supplied in alter towards demilitions instead of aid. Let us be defensive instead barking on globalwarming and hurricanes.

Exactly! active instead of reactive, and work with facts instead of political games.

these days I have been thinking about this problem, that is global warming.because till now, there has not been snow in our city, but several years ago, there has been piles of snow here, and it is very cold outside.but now,it seems not winter, but like spring or autumn.sigh!
