Dead? Or Alive & Slow?

Hi grandpa bob:) Well for me,i havent been here alot either.I think mainly because ive just about given up,have alot of things going on and to do and have lost my gumption.Ive gotten kind of sick of sitting infront of my laptop for hours on end and slowly weaned myself from it,haha!Alot are leaving/have left also.I never start any discussions anymore,but do answer my friends.I come downstairs to check once a day and respond to some,but its kind of hard when alot of your friends have the same discussion that another has made.Do you answer them both or just one?!Not you of course,others though.I don't have that get up and go for here that much anymore,i dont know why though.I do miss my friends and they are special to me,but,well,i think ive become bored. Everybody is Christmas shopping. I have also noticed that there isn't much happening on mylot. Maybe its just the beginning of the Christmas season, everyone is busy.

Well, I am here, but not responsive. Send for the myLot EMS crew. Have them breathe me back to life. Give me ringer's lactate, and defib me and while they are at it, I probably need CPR. I have just scrolled and scrolled and either have not been able to think of anything to say, or have been bored with the options I have available. Of all of my friends, perhaps five of them have started discussions today. From some of them it is the same stuff over and over again. I cannot really get into it. I saw the post about your wife, but am short on energy I saved it to look at tomorrow.I think I will head off to bed, about an hour earlier than I did last night, and see how I am in the morning.I have been nibbling all evening and that is a no no. I am afraid if I stay up much longer I will be getting food all over the keyboard, without even sharign my snack with you.

i think people are prefering to wrap up warm and sit in front of the tv as it has been so cold Or could be people don't have anything new to talk about, apart from xmas which is approaching rapidly.

I'm alive and well GRANDPA BOB...LOL..least think so. Yes, I've noticed it's been slow too lately..hey maybe everyone overstuffed themselves at Thanksgiving and no one can move or think now. Heehheee....I've been meaning to respond to a lot of your discussions but am trying to catch up on everything. This week will see me a bit MIA as I have an order for some crafts to make and hope to get them done by the end of the week, plus simultaneously finishing off my photographic portfolio to mail out to the grant I had submitted my application--just finished writing out and submitted an article to AC...uh, gee, not too busy right? LOL

Usually I go through my notifications and that is all the time I have for Mylot. I rarely get to top discussions or anything, just my friends. But today I was able to get through them and still have lots of time left over. Yeah I would say it is slow.

Hi Granda Bob! Im alive and I thought you were MIA. But I just thought that you and your wife were away because of her being the donor for her brother. Yes it has been slow around here but Ive been recieving my notifications. I didnt respond to this last night I went to bed early!LOL Glad your back!

Well you know what Bob, today I went on a deleting spree! I went to my "Friends" page and looked up how long it had been since I had seen some of the names in my email and if it was over 3 months - pressed the button! I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the holiday. Many people took extended days off to travel. I figure they will all be back soon ~Donna

That's what we've noticed three days ago, that I'm not really if this was because of the past thanksgiving or that people are now busy for the holidays!;) I was also gone after two consecutive days and was now glad to be back, even for the meantime. No, it is definitely not a glitch!;) I hope to come by here as often as I could, been very busy lately and will be active during weekends.

I haven't been on here much here lately because I've been sick. I didn't feel good for several days. Then on thanksgiving day we all got together at my mom's house and I felt really, really bad. I went to the doctor on Friday and she said I had a bad sinus infection. She said she thought my allergies had gotten so bad that it caused me to get a sinus infection. So she gave me a z-pack and some allergy medicine. I have to take it at night time though because it makes me really sleepy for some reason. I don't take much medicine so I think maybe that's why it makes me sleepy when I take it.

I am still receiving notifications. However, as we know, some people experiences glitches with notifications & others don't. It is totally unpredictable. I think perhaps you have a glitch with your notifications, or they have turned themselves off, which happens o me sometimes, as you didn't respond to at least my last two discussions. Of course, it may have been that you didn't want to respond which is fine. Better check your on/off notification thingy.

Hi Grandpa Bob, Here you are again. Yahoo, and every other browser name I can think of ... Yahoo just happens to be mine;) Actually, I meant Yahoo, as the word meaning the same as Yipee, but I'm sure you figured this out already. Sorry for the lame attempt at humour. It has been very quiet here lately, and I'm wondering how it'll be with Christmas approaching. You did miss a couple of my latest discussions, but that's okay. Maybe mine are some of the ones you deleted, due to lack of time. I did start one about my autistic grandson, and another one about an incident at my daughter's school, just to let you know the topics. I also received a response from a friend that I haven't heard from in ages. I'm so thrilled, that I PM'd him, and now I'm thinking, maybe I scared him off again. HAHA!

Think I'm getting all my notifications, Grandpa Bob. I have been responding to only discussion in my inbox last 3hrs. straight. Would you believe I actually started one and have another rolling around in my head as I speak? Shocking for me, isn't it? 2 in one day.

Honestly I think the tryptophan from the turkey has affected our brain function. I have been so slow to move this weekend that I if I moved any slower I would be going backwards!

Hi Grandpa Bob, I was thinking the same thing myself. I mean I dont have 400 friends! LoL but I have quite a few, and only a select few that are doing disucssions. And even they have been scarce around here. I guess maybe many are still on Thanksgiving holidays or just busy with school again. Who knows, really needs to pick up though! I guess Im just lazy about going to find disucssions to participate in! hehe Bay Lay Gray xx

Hi grandpabob... I thought it was only me.... It must be because of thanksgiving. People are spending a lot of time with familes. They will be back in full swing soon!!!! :-)
