If you have no idea, here are soem things what might help you. So which oen are you and what describe you the most? I am rigth brain and also right handed, is it the same with you? Left brain dominant individuals are more orderly, literal, articulate, and to the point. They are good at understanding directions and anything that is explicit and logical. They can have trouble comprehending emotions and abstract concepts, they can feel lost when things are not clear, doubting anything that is not stated and proven. Right brain dominant individuals are more visual and intuitive. They are better at summarizing multiple points, picking up on what's not said, visualizing things, and making things up. They can lack attention to detail, directness, organization, and the ability to explain their ideas verbally, leaving them unable to communicate effectively.

I wasn't sure when first reading your question, but my intuit sense told me that my brain is ambidextrous. For handwriting (or trying to play the piano) I strongly favor the right hand, though. I really do think that we all start out more or less equally, but for some reason society wants us to choose early on and then conform to how it views us other than how we really are. As a child I secretly practiced writing with my left hand, as people got upset when they saw me do it openly. But if need be I can write legibly with either hand or even backwards in the manner of Leonardo da Vinci. So just for you, Laurika, I searched online and found a text-based test to determine Left vs right brainedness, lol, and the test results confirmed my suspicion. Out of 19 questions, I replied to 10 with the "correct" right brain answer and 9 with the "correct" left brain answer. Then I searched for a visual test and the results there showed no difference. Here is the visual test for anyone who would like to try it: http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/story/0,22049,22535838-5012895,00.html

Thank you for link. I have find the same test beofre and try it. Also i wanted ask why the peopel was upset about you when they have seen you writing with left hand??? Because I knwo my mum she is left handed, but they tell her to write with right hand, so she learn it. So i was curious what was the reason of teachers doing this?

It wasn't the teachers, it was my mum. She thought it was evil or something to use the left hand and forced my naturally left-handed brother to switch over. I don't know what her problem was, but she just didn't like left-handed peopl and she made my left-handed brother change over. I think that really messed him up, too, among other things.

I don't think that link is credible. I went to the page and at first immediately saw it turning counter clockwise. I scrolled the page down and it started turning clockwise. As I scrolled up and down It kept changing, sometimes on it's own as well when I was not scrolling. I wouldn't believe that test.

I did a test years ago on this at college and I'm right brain. Like most people though I'm a mix of the two - 60/40 I think the split was. I think anyone would be in trouble if they were entirely one or the other lol. I'm right handed too.

from the definition that you mentioned above, i think i m kind of left brain type person. coz i have trouble comprehending emotions and abstract concepts and absolutely feeling lost if there is something unclear to be explained. but dear, i think it will change. the environment around the person will determine what kind type of the person. especially in their working environtment. coz working environtment tend to force someone to be the person who quality enough with the reponsibility or the position, am i right?

Hi & Hello, Laurika. I belongs to "left brain group" of people and I am right handed. I have read one psychology article to have my brain's activity intangibly balance, I have to practice sleeping by positioning my right head part on the pillow, my body part flip to the right. Happy Postings and Earnings, Laurika. HAPPY DAPPY.

At first I wanted to answer that I'm not 100% sure if I'm using my right brain although I've already read some articles saying that left-handed people uses the right brain and right-handed uses the left brain. So sometimes I think that maybe I am ambidextrous because even if I use my left hand on almost everything I do, I still could do some things using my right hand. Also the I'm exhibiting some left-brain functions like use of logic, math but not really science, order/patter perception. When I went to the link that drannhh posted, no matter how hard I tried to focus on the turning dancer, I only see it turning clockwise. I even put on my glasses but still it turns clockwise. I've already seen this dancer on forwarded emails even in one show on TV and still for me it's turning clockwise. So I guess that makes me a right-brain.

I guess I am left brain dominant because I have trouble "reading between the lines". I am more straight to the point. I also have good attention to details.

It seems that right hand persons are left brain and left hand persons are right brain. That means to say I am left brain.

Very interesting Laurika! I am a right brain person from the description you provided. I'm right handed as well. I dont agree with right brain people being unorganized, I think I'm fairly organized and keeps things together. I do find that at times I have a hard time explaining things verbally, sometimes even written. lol Maybe I can bring that up at my next job interview and I won't look so bad during. They may consider it a handicap! lol Bay Lay Gray xx

I was expecting to be left-brained since I'm right-handed but according to the Tickle's Brain test I took months ago, I'm right-brained. Some of the characteristics you've mentioned are quite accurate for me since i'm a more visual person and like making things up hence making me a good liar. LOL. I do have difficulty communicating my thoughts and somewhat disorganized.

This is interesting, i already heard a lot about left/right brain, but i had no idea how we could see which one we were. I am definitively left brain (smile), but i have also right one. This "idea" of left/right brain it isn't to think that only one of your left or right brain is "active". It's just to show what part of the brain you developed more. Like everything each one has positive and negative parts, so if someone would ask me what part i wanted more developed... i would say both. Its really interesting to know this kind of things. I will never say this is main culture, but is definitively curiosity. (Our brain is always asking for more)
