Do you cook dinner after eight PM?

When my spouse was working the midnight shift, often I would wait to cook our dinner until after 8 P.M. Of course, I'd make sure that our little kid was fed her meals way before then. But, we'd have our main meal a little later. That way he could carry a sandwich or other small Tupperware meal of left overs with him to the job. Now that he's not on the midnight shift anymore, it's a hard habit to break. Sometimes I find that I can't get dinner started at a normal time, even though he insists that he's very hungry. So, most times he ends up feeding himself a peanut butter sandwich or some other snack. Cooking late is definitely not one of the best habits that I have picked up. Do you ever cook dinner late?

I guess it depends on your schedule. I usually don't eat my second meal until between 5-8pm and then when I get home from work I eat my third meal probably around 1am. On days I am not working I'll probably eat dinner around 8 or 9pm. So I as well, prefer eating earlier on days I'm not working late.

Sometimes we do the cereal thing after midnight, if we haven't had a big supper. It works out nice.

Same here. I eat all sorts of "breakfast" foods at night. Cereal, toast, eggs sometimes. I usually am hungry after midnight when we eat at 8 or 9.

Yes, I do cook dinner anytime of the day/night if I do feel hungry and still have the mood to eat. However, usually, after a certain time pass the eating hours, I sometimes lose my appetite and will just settle for a snack.

that will depend on my schedule but i already experience that.. i think i cook my dinner around 9 p.m. as an online writer i don't have a fix schedule of work especially if i have a lot of projects (right now i don't have much projects though)... in other words i need to be awake till morning in order to finish such project. during late nights i usually prepare my self instant meals since i do not have enough time to prepare meals from scratch. cooking instant meals such as reheating sardines from the can, sauteing corned beef from the can or sometimes cooking instant noodles...

We have this very weird dinner schedule, We eat after 9 p.m. everyday and hence i tend to start cooking mostly after 8 so that the food is fresh and no need to reheat it.

These days everyone works different shifts, and so i guess we all have to make do. I know my brother cooks late for him and his wife. He works & she is disabled. But I guess once you get into a habbit it is hard to break, and it will mybe take a bit of time.

In this house dinner is almost always on the table between 6 and 6:30. I have 2 kids, so I cook when they need to eat. I will sometimes cook something little later just for me, but not very often.
