I have been having Severe headaches now on and off since last Friday. I am also having mild Chest pains at times with the headaches as well. I have already been to another Doctor who thought these were Migraines, and so he prescribed something for Migraines and I thought this might be the answer maybe, but the headaches are actually getting worse instead of better.
I have been suspecting these and the Chest pains are caused due to the Insulin I am taking, and this is why I am going in and seeing my Doctor. I have a feeling it is the Lantus as my headache last night and the Chest pains got a lot worse within 2 hrs. of taking the Lantus. So now I am wondering what they will consider next, and I am thinking here it goes again... A Diabetes medication is giving me troubles. I am so succeptable to Colds, etc. and really try to take care of myself the best I can.
So if anyone here is a Praying person, Prayers are appreciated as well as advice what I might consider. I will keep you all informed on what I find out, and the choices my doctor suggests for me from here.

The best way to get rid of all diseases and pains of body is to exercise. Depending on age, one should atleast exercise for 1 hour in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening.
My father in law is a doctor for 40 years and he says medicine is not alternative to maintain good health where as exercises are.
My mother-in-law is an insulin champion (she has been taking insulng for 35 years - since she had invited diabetes at at the age of 30 or 32. But then timely food, limited food, keeping awy junk food, limited sweet oriented food, and more important properly and regular exercises every day had kept her in single piece. She is now 82 or 83, but can walk, read, watch tv and carryout work like any other healthy person. Insulin still continues. Her yoga exercises also continues and the life goes on.

It is true that insulin will benefit diabetics, but it will not cure them, as you can attest with your mother's example. It is still very important.

First I am a praying person so I have said a small prayer for you. Second I am a diabetic to and have been experiencing the migraine headaches for some time and the medicine I was told to take by my doctor was not nearly as good as the excedrine migraine I bought my self, I also found out that the reason for the headaches is my glasses, due to the diabetes making my eyesight worse

Well, since they switched me from the Lantus Insulin to the Levimir, my headaches have stopped, and so have the Chest pains, so that is always good. Thanks for the Prayers.

We are all here for you . Our prayers are with you as well.
I sure hope the change in your insulin helps. I am a type 2 diabetic
and I had a problem with my oral meds for a while. The doctor changed them and now
I have reduced them to half because of my diet and exercise, I don't need as much.
I hope to be off all meds in a few months. I am taking 1000 mg of cinammon
2 times a day and 2 oz of apple cider vinegar before my meals. Both of these help reduce my blood sugar. I am going to add bitter melon soon to see if it will help.
Take care
