for seriously crappy weather..Apperantly there is a major storm warning/watch for the weekend for this area so I was watchig the weather channel a little while ago and from what they are saying majority of the U.S is going to get nailed with one storm type or another....Whats it like or supposed to be like in your area and are you prepared? LOL my husband told me that we have kerosene, the generator is running and we have milk LOL plus we did groceries yesterday so we're ready should we get nailed (living as close to the lake as we does sometimes we get hit hard and sometimes storms just miss us LOL)

We had rain and snow here in NY last night. The temp was 22 degrees. When I got up this morning we basically had a dusting. But they are calling for more snow on Sunday and they say it will be bad.

Yeah, here in Ohio, they say we're gonna get snow for the next couple weeks straight. And now that the ground's dried out, the stuff should stick instead of melt as soon as it hits the ground. And it'll be at a temperature of steady twenties, it seems. Not really storms, but cold and lotsa snow. I dunno. I'm just gonna have to keep up with the laundry and wear lots of layers lol. Especially if I work alot ringing bells for the Salvation Army this month (which is kinda likely). And me being young and able only to work mostly nights probably doesn't help me much, lol. But I'll deal. Keep fed warm things. The house is more or less stocked up with nice, filling, healthy foods. Enough for the next two weeks. And we don't travel alot, so..gas ain't a worry, I don't think the power'll go out, but if it does...well. We have blankets, we'll manage, lol. I don't complain much, in the winter, unless the weather includes mud. Out here..the mud can sink you knee deep into the ground someplaces, so I dislike that in the wintertime. Storms with snow and ice? That's typical for the season. And it could be worse, considering, lol. So as long as the winter acts like winter, I won't complain, heh. Or..try not to. I can't gaurentee I'll be happy about the weather that much ringing bells in the cold several nights in a row for the next four weeks, lol.

*goes and checks the forecast* Humm...I guess it's not hitting here. They're calling for rain on Sunday and the high that day of 62. Now I'm disappointed. I want it to SNOW already!!!

We have a winter storm warning here until sometime later today, and there's been a lot of snow accumulation. Yesterday within a few minutes my footprints disappeared from our lawn. It's really pretty from in here, but I felt bad that my husband had to go out in it. We're so not ready really. We bought an extra jug of milk, and we have enough food that's easy to prepare that we could make it if we can't get out, but we're not going to do well if we lose power. We don't have a generator or anything spiffy like that, and most of our food requires cooking to some extent. I don't even know where the flashlight is offhand. I suppose I should find that at least. We're near Lake Superior, so our whole winter is pretty harsh.

I haven't seen much of it but there is a winter storm advisory for the counties to the west and south of me. Although they did say we're all getting it it's just that it will be worse in those counties. I guess it going to be one of those weird rain/snow mixes that just makes everything a slippery mess.

I live in NJ and I look out the window every night to see if it is snowing. I was just telling my husband that tomorrow is the first day of December and we haven't had the first snowflake! I guess he heard on the radio that we should be getting 3 inches on Sunday. We'll see if that really happens.

Don't want it! - snow scene
Well, thanks for the heads up! I live in Boston and haven't even looked at the weather for today never mind for the weekend. I'll have to get to the store today to get what I need since I was planning on doing it tomorrow and don't drive and wouldn't want to be walking in that kind of weather (and it's gorgeous today of course!).
