The Best and Worst of 2007...

What was the best and worst thing that happened throughout the year 2007 for you and/or your family? Are you hoping next year will be alot better or just hoping to get through it quickly?
The best thing for me this year was that I saw my Dad and Stepmom after over 20 years. It gave me alot of closure over past hurts and made me realize how much I missed them. It also made me happy that although I didn't see them I do have a great Mom who has always been there for me.
The worst thing we had happen was a family friend who used to be one of our foster kids, made phone calls to his druggie friends making drug deals from our phone and we had to cut all ties with him. It hurt me b/c we were really close but he lives that kind of lifestyle and I don't want any part of it. Last I heard, he moved out of state and I haven't seen or heard from him in like 4 months.
Next year, I just hope there are no major problems and that things go along smoothly. I don't want it to go too fast though...as I get older it seems to do that.

I had a good year all the way around. Nothing really bad happened.....but nothing monumental happened either. Since I have grown older and wiser....I enjoy each day and am happy when most of them go smoothly! I hope for everyone a great new year.

The best thing to happen this year is that my boyfriend and I finally bought our first house. We had been talking about it for many years and just decided to go for it. We found the perfect little house and got it for a good price.
Unfortunatly the worst thing happened right as we were preparing to move into our house. my boyfriends work went on strike. They have been on strike for 6 months now and so far have no signs to return to work. He is working now, but only making half of what he had been. Now we are struggling to make the payments on our new house that would have been so easy 6 months ago.

Well, I envy you and everyone else that's responded. I've had the worst year of my life this year, and I really HOPE that 2008 is a better year for me, because if it isn't, I don't know what I'll do. I won't go into details here about the bad stuff (since I've posted enough about it already) but I'll share the one good thing that happened to me this year. I finally got a job in March, after being laid off for 9 months) for a GREAT company, and the best part is that I get to help save people's lives and get paid for it and they have an awesome benefits package and incentives program!!! That's about all that I can think of that's good that's happened to me this year!

ive got a pretty good list going so far and working on putting a few really good ones on the last month here so ill post again when the year is over as im sure there are more to come before the month is over as it just keeps getting better and better each and every time something goes wrong. With the way things are going by the end of the year im gonna go nuts from the amount of junk going wrong. bleh oh well.

best list would be...
my son was born
my daughter started potty training
my best friend got out of knee surgery and didi his rehab.
my grandma got out of the hospital from 2 strokes (thank god)
my divorce is almost finalized.
my friend alicia had her baby she so pretty
worst would be..........
my grandma was in the hospital with 2 strokes
me & hubby got separated
i just found out im getting laid off due to the real estate market.
my purse was stolen this yr.

2007 has been a mixed year for me my kids wwnt through a lot my youngers go out of jail in july so that was good but I know God will let 2008 be better

That is awesome about your dad and stepmom. Kudos to you for that!
As for me, the worst thing that happened was a nervous breakdown I had last summer when dealing with a lot of stress. It was pretty scary, but I have been getting back to what I need to be doing as I should be. :-)
The best thing that happened is having my husband around through all my craziness I was going through. That meant a lot to me and still does.
As for the new year, I would like to get more of my house situation resolved, maybe find a better job, and have things quieter.

The best and worse was that I had to finally make the decision to become completely estranged from my daughter and her family. It was very hard but I now have peace knowing that I will not have to constantly be on the alert for anymore unpleasant surprises and can get on with what is left of my life.

The worse thing that happened was when my oldest sister-in-law had to go to a nursing home. She has a form of ALS, and up to then, her two oldest sons had to take care of her and the oldest has diabetes so it mean that the care was put on the younger one and he had a fill time job. The best thing, I got my first grandchild in June. She is now a really happy almost six months old, always smiling. Then she was sleeping most of the time. I am uploading a photo at what she looked like at one day old.

The best thing that happened to me in 2007 was the birth of my son. He is a month old now and I am so thankful everyday for this little miracle.
The worst thing that happened in 2007 was having "morning sickness" for nine months. I had a really hard time with my pregnancy. But without the worst thing that happened this year, I wouldn't have my best thing. lol
I'm sure next year will be even better because I get to experience all the little joys of motherhood and watching my son grow up. I don't want next year to go by quickly because I don't want my son to grow up too fast.

For me there are many ups and downs in this year...On january 4th i met with an accident.It took me 4 months to recover and i lost one academic year....
And the positive was i succeded in love.
I would remember this year for the rest of my life.

there are many things happened throughout the year 2007.the best thing was that one of my friends was married in July.i was very happy for them .the bridegroom and bride were all my classmates in the university.i hope they can live together and happy forever.
i was lucy in the 2007 ,there is nothing worst thing happened.

Well, don't know where to start...it's been a rough year financially, emotionally, and for my grown kids, or not so grown? My younger son has gotten himself into legal problems, and I'm still at it with him. I won't even be buying much for Christmas this year. But, on a happier note, I have a new grandson born this year as well as 2 nephews. My dad has been sick off and on and is doing much better.
I definitely hope next year is much better.

i really can't think what best has happened to me this year. It may be the award i got from office for my work. There are so amny bad things. still if i have to pick up the worst it would be that i have lost all contact with the person whom I thought my best friend once.

The best part of 2007 was when Tigger came into my life and then Simba. The worst part was when I had to put my cat Lightning down after a bobcat attacked him and left him paralyzed but in intense pain.

Many thing have happened in my life this year. Some were good, and some were bad, even some were unexpected. But at the moment all is quiet. I am however looking forward to a good New Year.

alot of things happened this year. best thing so far is through many obstacles, my family is still together. of course, my bf is also one of the best thing that happened to me..
worst probably could be the time that we almost broke up.. and my over achiever friend got pregnant

I am a girl from china .
2007 is a big year for me . I graduate from my university and work in a big company for almost one year.
The happieset things i want to summary is that i become more sensible to many things in my life and have much experience to face the life load before me . I have a good performance in my workmates and boss.A basic career has been planed in the end of year.
The worst thing is that i have found my beloved yet . I always wait for something and get trouble in somethings. That's a real pity . I just hope i can get through that soon and take it easy in my life .
I know i am always a sunny girl .STAND STRONG IN MY BELIEFS! I WILL ! I will keep finger crossed for everyone of you ,my friends!………^^
