A nice tradition, surely. I like them and so does my daughter. I worry that the CGI of the new movies vastly outdoes the technical merits of the movies, but I think the stories are timeless enough to keep the kid's interests. I loathe, however, being a parent like my dad. He would always want us to watch that movie.. "it's a wonderful life." Wait, wait, I have an answer now to the question about movies that make you go to sleep. Anyway, I don't want to make my daughter watch movies just because I'm nostalgic about them.

I always made a point of watching christmas shows with my kids when they were growing up. I have even had the pleasure of watching them with my grandkids, and it brought back such memories! Just writing this makes me smile at the thought.

I haven't watched any of these programs since my kids were small. I've tried to watch them alone but there is definitely something missing when I do.

I love watching them with my son. He especially loves Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and sings the songs from it all the time. I don't know what I'm going to do when the holiday season ends and I put the movies away. I don't think he's going to be happy with me for that. Oh well, we'll burn that bridge when we get to it.
