Lousy roads & driving conditions in Minnesota

Well my wife usually works till 10 p.m. weekday nights. but there's been a lot of snow all day today and the State is advising to drive as little as possible. So she closed the restaraunt at 9 p.m. and is taking a bus to the local mall near our house. So instead of a 15 mile drive I'll only have to drive 3 miles or so. The roads are very slippery. They showed the highways and the traffic is jamming up still from rush hour with multitude spin outs etc. 222 salt trucks and or plows on metropolitan roads and highways. It won't be cleaned up till very late or earl in the morning. Luckily we have had only one report of a casultie from the storms on the Highways system. Anyone else having the heavy snow like us here in Minnesota? This is my front yard a few minutes ago. I love how smooth the snow appears until the wind blows it all over. So far today I've gotten maybe 6 or 7 inches on top of the 8 inches from Saturadsys storm. Now 2 more snow storms are due within the next week as well. Woopie. I love the snow actually.

It hasn't snowed here yet in Georgia
But it didn't snow last year ... so maybe we won't see snow this year either ... pity I would like my lil one to see it ;-) lol
I love snow
But as nice and peaceful it looks it is always a problem when you have to drive
Roads are already dangerous but with snow it makes it even more hazardous... and mainly because people don;t pay enough attention or don't know how to adapt theirr driving to the snow condition

But if it snows there then our prices for some fruits sky rocket.

Got another storm due Thursday as well as yet another for the weekend. Hee hee. Drive carefully then. But with just a couple inches though.

Now you make me concerned about my son in law, but glad that my daughter is a stay at home mom. He hit black ice last year and wrecked their car. I am not sure how good a shape this one they have is in. On the other hand, if I am going to have snow, I want it to be enough to close school. 58-60 degrees today.

That is the area that seems to have gotten a lot of snow is Anoka County. That.s where I live. Maybe 10 miles from Champlin. Hope things are okay out his way. There are many school closures for tomorrow. HAHAHA. Also many after school activities were closed today as well.

Here in NY we have had a dusting..but we have grass. In fact we just lost the last of the leaves on the trees this past week. Of course it was the day after we did the 'final' raking of the year.
But no, we are not as lucky as you are.

With all that's been going on and all the prayers and wishes I've had this is the one wish that has come VERY true. I wished for snow didn't I? HAHAHAHAHA! More to come in the next week as well. 2 more storms expected in the next 7 days with more plowable depths. Yee hawww! HAHA!

Hi GRANDPA BOB! Wow, that's a lot of snow out there and none here at the other side of the globe, not even a small, tiny bit of snowflakes. LOL! Do drive carefully and be safe, you and your wife! take care and have a nice snowy day! :)

Not really a lot yet. Halloween day 1991 we got over 4 feet of snow in a 24 hour period. Now that's a lot. Hee hee. I love it so far and am geared up for more come Thursday. A few more inches expected with another small snow storm arriving here in Minnesota. Thanks.

I must admit, every time I read one of your new snow reports I get excited that I live in Texas now. It is true that Minnesota gets more snow then Michigan, but they have some right now. Here it is 70 and has been all week!
